Florida had more in the tank at the end , and they carried most of OT , Freddy was a monster to keep us in it, but the ice was tilted

I don't think its the end though, we met a team that works has hard has we do

Turbo will be better Saturday also, I still very much believe

Props to Freddie for giving us a chance. Florida was the far superior team from the beginning of overtime 2 to the end. I can't tell if it's they are that well conditioned or if we just aren't

Apparently it’s the year for underachieving Miami professional sports teams to pull a playoff run out of their ass.

Canes played sloppy pretty much all night, it was not even a good performance.  Freddie and luck kept us in this game.  Uncharacteristic neutral zone turnovers and so much icing....I thought we were trying to make a cake.

This was the kind of game that we would have stolen if we won....we didn't and the boys need to find their A game now.  They played hard, but terrible decision making across the entire game.

A lot of the icing calls, At least in regulation were bogus. Obviously not all. But a chunk of them were past the redline, tipped by us and still called icing, definitely within reach of a Florida player, etc.

Concerning we couldn’t score at full power. Glad I didn’t stay up. May be just one game but I am concerned if we can’t score normally. Guess we didn’t have it.

We hit a lot of posts last night 5 on 5. We have to adjust to bobs size.

We shouldve won 5-2 with the posts we hit. But we were too sloppy in our own zone and Florida will capitalize on our mistakes eventually. We need to stop hitting posts and start putting the puck in the back of the net and be more crisp with the puck in our zone.

(AP) — It had been a while since the Carolina Hurricanes had finished practice, with players coming and going from the locker room. Yet Logan Stankoven was still on the ice, leaving a crowd of reporters patiently waiting at his locker. Such is the dynamic for the 23-year-old as the Eastern Conference's top seed heads into Round 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs to face the Philadelphia Flyers. Stankoven has been rolling at nearly a point-per-game pace going back to mid-March, including scoring in every game of Carolina's first-round sweep of Ottawa. Beyond the immediacy of that spotlight, though, is the other piece of Stankoven's story: the Hurricanes are betting he can keep growing into the role as second-line center, coming after spending multiple seasons searching for an answer there.
