At this point in time, who feels like we lost this trade?

Pretty much, though I've been told it's cowardice to not say that you know exactly how everything's going to play out right now 😆

Ah yes, the people who are going to die trying to disprove this:

I think we lost the trade. Or, did. Not thinking about it much after the draft was over and done.

I thought we lost the minute the trade was made, not specifically over one guy but any guy. Just did not feel like there was any player in the draft at QB that was worth two firsts and whatever else the haul was.

Yes when it came down to two names I specifically did not want Young, but it didn’t matter really that much if you don’t think either was deserving of their position.

Not sure why anyone would feel like it's a loss or a win at this point. It 100 percent depends on how things shake out

Because if you can't predict the future right now, you must be a coward 😆

Also, the first preseason pass of any quarterback's rookie season tells you everything you need to know about their entire career.

It really just depends on Bryce I guess.  If he balls out then it's worth it, if he doesn't then it will be the worst trade in organization history.  Worse then Sean Gilbert.  Let's hope it works out.

I've been shouting this since we traded and all I got was pooped on. Lol

It all depends on how he plays that will determine if trade works out. You cant really say anything else, thats why its not bad to hold a wait and see approach. Anybody that wants to hop on a bandwagon instead is free to do that as well. Everybody is entitled to their stance just dont get emotional when somebody doesnt have the same viewpoint.

Apparently BR believes that the trade with the Bears was the best move of the off season, for the Bears.  Fuel for the fire.

1. Bears Trade No. 1 for a Haul

While the Panthers' ambitiousness was commendable, Chicago emerged as the definite on-paper winner of the trade for 2023's top overall pick. The mega-deal delivered two first- and two second-round selections to the Bears, along with D.J. Moore—a true No. 1 receiver. Great drafting is imperative in the future, but Chicago has an encouraging long-term vision.

they are playing up that '2 first round picks' part too much making it sound like they got more than what they did. it wasn't that.

they swapped a 1st overall for a 9th overall. and then they got a 2nd.  and then they got another 1st next year and a second the year after that. and they got a above average WR.

meanwhile we got a guy who is going to make this team one of the best in the league for years and win us multiple superbowls.

Yup.  BR's staff never liked Young.

When Young takes off, and Fields continues to flounder, Bears fans are going to be crying in their beers.

    • OK, fair enough--however, since my point was that drafting a QB in the top 10 is stupid, if you consider the players who were not drafted in the top 10 or those who WERE drafted in the top 10 and did not secure starting positions with the team that drafted them, you should see the point.  Is it smart to draft a QB in the top 10 when only 4 are still starting for the team that drafted them.  Next, consider that half of that number, 2, were drafted outside the first round.  Next, there are 4 (Goff, Mayfield, Jones, and Darnold) who are starting on other teams after busting.   That number could increase as Arizona seems ready to move on from Murray, Miami is not sold on Tua, and jacksonville is still waiting for Trevor to start looking elite.  Bryce?   So to answer your question, there are MANY more QBs in the NFL who have busted and become starters on other rosters, were drafted after day 1, or are still on the cusp than the four who have become elite.  I thought that point was made.
    • I’m more upset that we are changing uniforms in the middle of this road win streak. We have won our last 3 road games in Silver Helmets, White Jerseys, and Blue Pants. We are supposedly wearing Black Helmets, White Jerseys, Black Pants this week… I am a superstitious person
    • He did so well they are moving him to RB, Legette to QB, and Moton to TE…. Interesting. Coker might struggle at LT https://www.panthers.com/news/panthers-release-depth-chart-ahead-of-week-12-for-the-2025-season
