McAfee sounds like a a big Bryce Young fan...and not just in this clip.

I think he and Thielen are pretty close and when he signed here McAfee kind of started paying closer attention to us. I would say the entirety of our offseason also played a role in that...but yeah, he seems like a big Bryce guy.

He also had an inside track with Indy and Reich was their coach, so it isn't a stretch to say he still maintains some contact with parts of the Reich regime/staff.

Where there’s smoke there’s fire. Everyone wants to be the first to have said it when he is as advsertised.

I disagree though, there (predictably) hasn't been much national coverage for Bryce. Anything posted in here has been teammates and guys connected to the team discussing him.

If you turn on NFLN they have recently been discussing Anthony Richardson and gassing him up.

Any and all Bryce hype is warranted given his resume.

Gotcha, I haven’t been watching sports TV at all for the past year. All the hype articles are concentrated to this board

Some of the fan base is hyping him up, but most people nationally think he’s too small, the panthers are too bad, and are all over AR as the next big thing.

The narrative will change once Bryce starts proving it.

And I'm really looking forward to this. Maybe if the glare is somewhere else, Bryce can grow more organically in the program.

He looks like the kind of guy that could be competent and capable right off the blocks, but maybe not flashy. I don't have to have a guy getting all the national attention in weeks 1-3.

What I want to see is the pundits all saying how amazing it is that in Week eight, the Panthers are sitting at 5-2 heading into the game with Reich's old team the Colts.

AR will get more hype simply because he's eye candy 6'5 240 fast, strong, rocket arm. Same reason they discussed Cam a lot during his prime.

Young will earn his respect on the field.

They talked about Cam because he spent his career as the best player in the league at times. He won a championship on every team he ever played on except the Panthers. Y’all really gotta stop comparing guys to him. He’s 1 of 1.

Well the "at times" was really just 1 season but yeah he was a top 5-10 QB and a huge personality of course he got (and deserved) the attention. Also had the best start to a rookie QB season ever pretty much.

I would agree though that the vast majority of the "next Cam" comparisons are off base.

He was way more unique than is sometimes remembered.

a lot of people have us winning the south so i don't think that's the case. any coverage has been praise.

The Bryce hype train is getting a little crazy at this point

Can't wait til joint practice tomorrow, the propaganda has gotten outta control yet mundane at the same time.  Will be interesting to hear what Jets media honestly thinks about us

Exactly. It’ll be good to see what their reporters are saying.

They’ll be homers just like all other team specific media. Remember the Patriot media team?
