Never brought the Lions hype after we beat them with the playoffs on the line with Steve Wilks and Sam Darnold.

In Kansas City for opening night.  I would normally say the Chiefs without much hesitation, and I think Detroit will be pretty good this year and could even with the NFCN. 

I would normally say that, but it is September and I have no idea who will look good, bad, or ugly for the first few weeks.

I'd normally confidently pick the Chiefs but Chris Jones holding out and Kelce's injury status uncertain makes it a lot more interesting.

Andy Reid with extra time to prepare is surgical in his game planning, that combined with Mahomes being Mahomes and I pick the Chiefs regardless of the Kelce/Jones situations.

I think what we learn tonite is that Mahomes is still Mahomes, and that other people can catch the ball.  Kelce is great, no doubt.  However, I suspect that even without him the combination of Mahomes playmaking and Andy Reid scheming is going to result in the Chiefs doing Chiefs things.

The atmosphere in KC is pretty energetic but the Canadian wildfire smoke has been crazy these past days and it's rather hazy.

Not really here nor there as it shouldn't have much impact on the game, but will be curious if it shows up on camera.
