Jaycee Horn expected to miss multiple weeks

OK PS2 had a 92 rating for prospect from ESPN and Horn had a 91.  It's wasn't some crazy ignorant reach to draft Horn over PS2.  Horn was the more physical CB which is what Rhule was wanting at the time.  It's next to impossible to predict some of these injuries yet the Huddle is going to play hindsight GM and redraft knowing all of this.

If the Panthers cared that much about drafting local players, they would have drafted Sam Howell

You could use this to support the notion but the Howell/Corral debate boiled down to Fitterer reaching with Tepper in his ear wanting a splash move IMO. If it were flatly a Rhule decision he sure as poo didn't show it in how he handled Corral's development and throwing the kid to the wolves. He never wanted to develop a rookie QB regardless of where they were from.

But there's a world of a difference between throwing darts at local kids like Howell in the mid rounds and doing so in the top ten.

I never understood being angry with a player for getting injured in a game or practice.  Kid works hard, just has terrible luck so far

I would call it frustration, not anger, at least speaking for myself.  And it's not directed at Horn, it's the F.O. who has seen the durability red flags over and over and yet have chosen not to address it.  If the team knows JC is injury prone, and knows that CJ Henderson is toast in coverage, and has done nothing to address that, they're to blame, not Horn.

    • -Rico is our early season MVP. Stud. -Bryce Young - best game as a pro. See the other threads, very happy with how he played. The first McMillan TD was a good example of what type of rhythm and feel we should see. -Cade Mays had an absolute mother of a game. Absolutely bullied the Cowboys interior. I am getting convinced he’s a potential answer at center. Want to keep seeing it. -Icky & Lewis road grading on the left was top tier today. They’re getting it done the past two weeks. -BC in our stretch zone looks. We finally started diversifying the run game. Looked like we had Brady moving quickly to the perimeter on stretches and tosses. He swung out and killed some Dallas secondary. -Trevin Wallace got himself in position and helped close a few Dallas possessions. Doesn’t go unnoticed. -Mitchell Evans - loving what I’m seeing -Jimmy Horn Jr making noise. He looks NFL quick, not just college quick. -Coaching staff - they’ve have questionable moments this season but this was a really nice, complete game they called. I probably missed some, feel free to chime in
    • I agree but also the teams we lost to are 10-6 combined. So I think we are middle of the pack a little lower. But atleast we are .500 percent. I think the difference is that we are stopping the run and running the ball and not turning it over all the time. So I believe there is some optimism due to Ricos play and that allows us to throw the ball. Big ups to the Oline though. They have done great.
