Who gets fired Monday?

We all know what’s coming Sunday. Imagine 75k seats in that stadium.  30k will be cowboys fans…. 20k panthers fans and 25k Empty seats. The cowboys just hung 45 points to our 6.   Who gets the ax? Fitt? Frank? Tepper destroys his press box in a fit of self created rage?

all kidding…maybe…but you know tmrw is going to be dreadful and this is what rock bottom is about to feel like.

I really hate for anyone to lose their job, but its pretty obvious that some mistakes have been made here.

Is there anything to be gained by jettisoning the coaching staff now? That early start on the search means nothing if the only candidates out there are also coaches who've been cut loose. I believe that was a big part of the mistake we made last year...

It's not like any of the best OCs or DCs out there can even begin interviewing here. And I've seen nothing from this group of coaches on either side of the ball to see anything worthy of giving someone an interim coach gig as a trial run.

Our biggest mistake was probably in letting Wilks go. The man had something to prove and we would have benefitted greatly from that.

I've said this a few times but not only is this the worst position this franchise has ever been in terms of talent but we're kinda fuged with coaching too.

What awesome coach is going to want to join this team?

I know no one wants to hear this but I could see Reich getting another year esp if there is minimal improvement over the next few games.

It's not the way I would play it but I can see that happening.

Also if we do fire Reich we need to fire Fitterer too and completely start over

I don't think it serves anyone to be fired yet.  There's still a long way to go with the season and other possible coaches.  Do we want to put up with a year of interm coaches?  Who will it be?  Doubt it Evero, since he declined that in Denver.  Won't be Brown.  Caldwell?  Capers?  I'm not sure if anything will be better for the team.

What needs to happen is we need to see positive development in Bryce.  So Frank, Brown, Caldwell and the rest of the offensive staff need to work on giving him answers.  That's just the reality.  From the outside - it's Tepper giving Frank a chance.  The NFL knows this is a poo show of an unimaginative offense that doesn't play to ANYONE's strengths.  Give it the season.  It's pretty much lost right now.  Then depending on the progress or lack thereof, fire folks, clean house, whatever.

If you think about it, you don't gain anything firing Monday versus after week 18.  The good coordinators will almost all be in the playoffs anyway.

    • I'm really not stressing about upgrading from Bryce. I'm frustrated with our inability (or refusal) to recognize overall bad QB performance and failure to seriously address the issue. QB is the most impactful position on the field, and we're not only settling for what we've been given to this point, but we've rewarded it with a fully guaranteed 5th year extension for a player that's never played 2 NFL franchise QB quality games back to back in 3 seasons. I can't understand how that's ok from a coach's or GM's viewpoint. Successful franchises don't do things like this. It just doesn't make sense.  We do not have a top half of the league QB right now. Since we don't have that player, we should be looking for him. Pickett isn't it. Grier isn't it. Bryce hasn't proven he is yet. Until you have that sure fire franchise QB, you keep looking. You're not consistently making the playoffs, a deep run, or a SB appearance without one.  What's the worst that could happen? We end up with 2 potential number 1 QBs? How horrible.
    • Easy to understand Pickett, if this is anywhere close to on point. Canales wants to get as close to Bryce as he can- get the pace and timing in the throws as close a he can to Bryce. So the other players don’t have to adjust so much, to a new guy.       If Cam was the 1, he would look for a rocket arm.  But Bryce is the 1. Look for limited in the same way.  Low velocity, plenty of air under it, feels just like home when Picket comes in. And you have the guys on the second team not having such a radical adjustment (if they have to play) like with Dalton to Bryce.    Enter Grier. I guess we will collect those types.
    • Best part is if we draft him, we can also use him as our fourth and one QB sneaker
