Speculation and rumors about Reich firing.

On one of the many shows Adam Schefter implied this has been weeks in the making and it was "mutual" between tepper and reich....frank basically wanted to be fired

Schefter implied frank and davids personalities were a terrible mix shortly into the season.

Heres a juicy one- One of the biggest reasons for the firing was tepper didnt like franks energy level at ALL. Each meeting it seemed frank had no drive or "want" to fix/coach this team. No "juice" or enthusiasm about day-2-day coaching the panthers. Feels like frank scammed tepper for one last NFL payday.... if true lost the few last respect points I had for fightless frank...feels like there is some truth to each.

Frank didn’t want Young and when he realized how bad he sucks, he probably gave up. I can’t even blame him with how poo young has been. Young sold himself as something he’s not and got Frank and others canned.

Maybe David Tepper is just a certified loser who only hires coaches with ties to Pennsylvania. He’s just going to hire another Pennsylvania jabroni to rinse and repeat his brain dead loser cycle

I could see it. Frank made no real effort between the preseason and now to change anything.

I didn’t want Reich and I didn’t want Young but I got both.

Frank was lied to, told to coach up a qb he didn’t want, and said screw it. He didn’t have to take the job. He didn’t need the money. You could tell from jump he didn’t care.

Reich said during the offseason this was his last coaching job. Seems like that would be a major red flag during the interview process if it came up, though judging by this and the Rhule hire I don't think Tepper knows how to interview people for the job

Tepper- "I want a coach to stay here 20 or 30 years"(said a few times...)

Tepper hires 61 year old low energy burnt out Frank Reich....

Time and time again the problem is tepper....

I noticed this the moment we hired him. People said it's just his personality.

 

Tepper should have just hired Wilks. He loss the locker room when the players vouched for a HC and the owner said "No thanks." Frank is a good guy, but he was fired for a reason. I have no idea why Tepper thought it would be a good idea to hire a HC who was fired.

As a person who is working in a PE backed firm the emphasis on energy level is no surprise. These guys want full on table slamming, do something, chaotic energy all the time. It’s exhausting

I've worked for bosses like Tepper before. Yeah, it fuging sucks. If I had a guaranteed contract I would've just mailed it in until they paid me to go away too.

I can be mad a Tepper for making horrible decisions while still being glad that we moved on from Frank. I would be more upset if he gave him 3 years just to look like he has patience to the rest of the world while we suffer through 2 more losing seasons with that type of play calling. I guarantee Tepper was pissed at how soft Frank addressed the team week after week. The team, like our former coach, shows no fight or life on the field and that is a coaching problem.
