The Bryce hate has gotten absurd

This year sucks. Bryce hasn’t lived up to the hype. Some his fault, some not. 

burrow, manning, Lawrence, etc. all had bad first year. On top of that, we obviously had the wrong coach for him. 

im not willing to label him a bust yet. We don’t need 40 threads on why he is. No one questions his iq. His biggest question mark coming in was his durability and he’s passed that with flying colors. 

his height may be a problem and I’ll concede that. But emphatic statements declaring him a bust are absurdly premature. If you can’t handle bad football then I suggest maybe skipping the last few games

im choosing to believe we’ll find the right coach to match his skillset and he’ll end up being the qb we drafted. My expectations have decreased from the expectations I had when we drafted him, but that doesn’t mean he can’t lead a GOOD football team to the playoffs (and dare I say Super Bowl). However, this is NOT a good football team.

Bryce is bad. I respect that we took a swing at a QB and it was an exhilarating month or two leading up to the draft pick but it was a swing and a miss. It’s okay to acknowledge that

If Bryce had one game to give us pause, I'd slow my roll. All the QBs that had rough first years had at least one game that they looked truly impressive in. Bryce has had a handful of plays across the entire season that were impressive. His average is probably something like 1-2 plays per game.

 

Bryce has not looked good. He has not showed  promise. He has shown life.signs. that's about it.

Bryce will be ultimately judged by his sophomore season. If he sucks next year…that boy will be a complete bust. I think he is is having the worst rookie season from #1 overall picks in history.

Bryce is bad. I honestly didn't blame much on him earlier on the year. You can't help your height or your arm strength. But here recently it just seems like he could care less. He's just going through the motions and cashing his checks. Seems to me like no one has held him accountable for his shortcomings and he's bought into the excuses. He's fine, it's everything else that's broken. No sir. I've been saying if since pre-season. Bryce is a BIG part of our offensive struggles.

Saying someone had a disappointing year doesn’t make them comparable to Bryce. 

Peyton Manning also rewrote the rookie record book while disappointing.  He still showed potential and reason to excited.  And he was a lab built NFL QB. 

Trevor Lawerence’s starting WR is depth for Bryce Young.  Bryce’s skill talent is weak and yet better than Trevors.  His NFL debut was a 300 + yard game.  And he was a lab built NFL QB. 

Burrow probably had the worst OL in the NFL and still went for 300+ in half his games.  And he was a lab built NFL QB

Bryce Young doesn’t have an elite NFL skill set like everyone else listed.   It stands out.  He has no special ability.  He has provided no hope.

He's had a few "nice" plays. He honestly hasn't had a single play that made me sit up and say "WOW!". That's what you want to see out of a #1 overall pick. You want to see some wow moments. There haven't been any.

I mean, let's be honest. Has he made a single play that someone like Gardner Minshew isn't physically capable of making?
