Sick of Losing…Do you have Patience for a Slow 2024.

It's not a matter of patience for me; I'm not going anywhere regardless if they suck or not (which I kind of expect them to do). At this point, I just don't see us doing anything until 2025. We're in total disarray, without any direction. The conglomeration of valuable personnel and draft capital that we've squandered only to arrive here is depressing.

We're going to have to start all over again. What that entails is anyone's guess. A firesale may be in order. Who knows? We only have maybe two to three players that might net us some real value (outside of T-mo). Maybe the skies will appear sunny again by 2026. **Sigh**

Is Bryce the starter in 2024?  Then no, I have no patience.  The same with Fitterer if still here. I will only have hope if Bryce is given competition, REAL competition (he will lose) Fitterer is gone and Tepper hires  a President of Football Operations and just flies in on Sundays to sit in his box.

Outside of that, I may find a new hobby next fall.

Bryce will 100% be the starter next season.  At least in week 1.  Next season will be his make or break.

It will be a break year.  His mechanics are so extremely flawed which will prevent him from being the QB we need him to be.  In the mean time, unless a lot of top tier college QBs have a change of heart, we will be seeing a lot of talent pass us by this April.  And many thought Stroud was the QB we missed out on.  Heads will spin come the draft.

I haven't watched a game in about a month or so and don't feel like i'm missing anything. Knowing Tepper is going to force whoever the next coach is to play Bryce is going to set a bad vibe from the get go. It's going to be someone willing to get fired in exchange for a certain amount of guaranteed money. Not exactly an inspiring situation for anyone involved

New England winning tonight pretty much locked the pick we traded to Chicago into the 1st overall.

This is the most bleak it’s ever been. Young cost us Jalen Carter, CMC, Moore, Williams/Maye and 2 more 2nds. That’s a franchise killer unless a miracle happens.

We are just so far away from talented enough to compete and that sucks balls. We need another miracle to get a real good coach/GM combo and it’s still going to take many years to get back or we become the Browns or Detroit and linger at the bottom for a decade+. I don’t think I can watch another whole season where  my QB can’t even get the ball past the LOS to avoid a grounding penalty.

    • Bryce has been in the NFL 3 years and still looks like a very mediocre QB. Most games are nothing but mediocre plays with a highlight reel every now and then.  He is a very INCONSISTENT QB and it’s very fustrating. He does not deserve a 5th year option, even though the Panthers and all the dumb asses in the front office will give it to him.
    • I’ve rarely ever been more sure of anything than losing out — but how can anyone say with a straight face “Bryce hasn’t improved, but Canales has and he’s masks his flaws”. You have to be so out of touch with reality to put one way above the other when discussing those two.
    • Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that.     Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way.  I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough.  However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different.  Anyway, Roll Tide!
