loling at how the narrative has transformed from “Bryce physically isn’t capable of throwing the ball far” to “Bryce just isn’t an accurate QB, tepper should’ve read my draft blogs”

The whole offense is bad. WRs are slow and run lazy routes. Offensive line isn’t great. And your rookie QB is playing like a rookie.

You honestly have to be a masochist to watch this team.  Just when I think they can’t get worse they do somehow

It's simple really, I've had a relationship with the team since I was 8 years old. I get a few months of the year when I get to watch football. Then I spend the rest of the year waiting for football. Even when they suck, seeing Panther uniforms playing football makes me feel 8 again.

Even when they are by far the worst team in the league, there are no stakes for me. Win or lose its an escape from work, and bills, and being an adult. And hell some of the people in this chat are people I've posted on game day with for a decade plus. I enjoy escapism even if it's not a good product because I know that I'd miss the hell out of it if it was gone.

What are you going to do when your OL can block for 2 seconds. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying Bryce is awesome. I’m just saying it’s not all on him.

Meh......he is not a franchise QB by any stretch of the imagination

Oh my bad.  I guess I missed Icky still whiffing on speed rushes and WR getting wide open or us running a completely different offense.

Bryce has not risen to make his team better at all.  He has looked worse and worse the last few games.  No question but you can't show up to a gun fight with a knife.  When that happens and he still plays like this, then I'll call him a bust.

Bless your coping heart.

    • Jake in his prime was a gutsy QB. But just like with even someone like Cam. Father time is undefeated. It's very unfortunate we have a guy who is only 24 years old that has an equivalent arm to that. Absolutely blows my mind that our brain trust lacked the basic common sense to value arm talent when making a massive trade with ramifications for years to come. Unforgivable incompetence.
    • Jake, to me, will always hold a special place in my heart.  I really feel like for his era, he deserved way more love than he got, and should’ve had more than his one Pro Bowl.  He was a gamer with an underrated rocket arm. but let me tell you, after his Tommy John surgery, when he came back, I can’t remember who it was against, but it think it was a division game, he threw a ball that was supposed to be a throw away, as I think he was under pressure, and that poo floated forever and died right at the boundary where a defender ran over and picked it off.  One of the worst throws I ever saw.  His arm just wasn’t the same after the injury and surgery.  All that to say, that’s what almost every Bryce throw to the sidelines looks like to me.
    • And again, when watching him in college he had one distinct trait that I feel makes a franchise QB - on those plays when everything breaks down around him, he creates one on his own.  He doesn’t rely on or need everyone else.  That play last night on the final drive where he was getting sacked and threw it to Diggs before his knee hit the ground?  He does similar things all the time.  Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, etc., they all do it.  It’s what made Cam so special. but we picked a guy that’s the opposite of that.  He desperately needs someone else to make a play for him because he can’t.  Even that play yesterday on 4th down to Horn.  That wasn’t a great pass.  The defender was late and came down to make a play in the ball and Bryce threw it high and outside where Horn had to leave his feet and really use strong hands to catch it.  We relied on a 5’9” rookie playing in his first pro game to make THAT catch at THAT time bc of the early turnovers and a not great throw.  Crazy.
