Apathy... this franchise is in dangerous territory

The last home game I attended was the Colts and the final two games of the season I gave my tickets away

I no longer have the desire to tailgate let alone attend the games

I honestly don't even tune into the game anymore other than clips on redzone where the past 20+ years I always watched the away games as primary and redzone as secondary

I have no particular emotional draw to any of the players, none of them bring that zest of a fan out of me, then you look at the Hornets and while yes their record is lousy, the team is up and coming, entertaining to watch and actually something that my kids get pumped up about. I can't be the only one in this boat. I suspect that their's many PSL holders who won't renew next year

I suspect there's businesses in this economic climate that won't renew corp boxes next year. I suspect that team sponsorships will be down next year, if I was a business I doubt I want to be the "The official partner of the Carolina Panthers" and with no end in sight for this nightmare, apathy is setting in.

Tepper's meddling has cost him leverage on a new stadium, why would a city fork out billions when the product is bad and the CEO is a disaster. This is for all intent purposes the lowest point this franchise has ever been

I watched Godzilla: Minus One instead of watching the game. And it was 100% the right call. I got out of the show, turned on the phone, and looked at how my fantasy team was doing. Then I played a mobile game. Checking to see what our score was on a game-day Sunday was maybe the forth or fifth thing on my mind. That says a lot. And when I saw we'd lost 6 to 28, I wasn't even bothered, much less surprised. I've never been so disinterested in Panthers football, and that's really something the eggheads and bean-counters in our FO should be worried about, because I'm sure I'm not alone.

 

Sidenote: Go see Godzilla Minus One. I'm not being hyperbolic when I say I think it's the best movie of the year.

Yeah, he really does want to build a winner. I'll give him that. He just had to accept that he has to get out of his own way in order to have any chance of accomplishing it.

After a loss, I used to be so angry and it would ruin my whole week. Nowadays, I don't even check out our highlights on youtube anymore. I've gone from NEVER missing a game since I was in the 4th grade (I'm 30 now), to not even caring to check out our highlights on youtube. I genuinely just do not care anymore. The only reason I even pop up after games anymore is because I still have that Carolina Huddle tab just a click away on my hotbar and it's just muscle memory over the years. Tepper has ruined Carolina Panthers football for everybody. It's just not the same anymore. Real Panthers football died in 2018.

Glad to hear it about Godzilla, I want to the see that movie. That last movie with King Kong looked a little too silly for my taste.

      Reasonable. I mean I didn’t see a clear path to relief this season myself. As I have typed already, I think the QB FA class is more interesting next season and that draft is supposed to be stacked as well. There just weren’t many options this year.  When you have Tepper to contend with you have to tread lightly around this unless you are 100% certain and willIng to stake your job on it.   There were a couple of outings that helped Bryce a lot in terms of  thinking maybe he can do this, and if you are a supporter you are giving them a lot of weight. You are likely to think just get him some more help and he can do that every week. Which I think Tepper falls into that category.  And the playoffs, division champs, regardless of the way I see that, the supporters will also give that a lot of weight.    And the big one, the atmosphere In BOA for that WC game, Tepper had to be soiling himself over that. If you pulled Bryce out right now you had better be right and your new guy had better make the playoffs and look good doing it or you will be gone and your chance to build your old team back into respectability will be gone too.  So here we have Pickett on a one year deal, and Grier and King. I understand it.
