Saw this on the WFT reddit --

"We should take a gap year"

"All in on this. Let's just take a year off, rebrand, new stadium, and wait for the next coaching cycle. Would be a year of no anxiety for us lmao."

I've heard worse ideas 😄

I'm sure all the players would be fine with this, right? 🤔

It really does seem like the Commanders were all in on Johnson and got burned. Honestly feels like Tepper last year - think he was ready to hire Johnson and the interview was just a formality then had to pivot once he pulled out and we ended up with a mish mash coaching staff.

Not sure Ben wants a HC role. Panthers last year and Washington this year were close to dream situations in many ways for an offensive coach.

Wild how it turned out for WAS and I do think a lot of it is on Johnson's decision to stay in Detroit.

As of now, Vrabel or Glenn are the best bets. Quinn would bring knowledge from a division rival too.

I put their vacancy as the top spot based on Peters, new ownership, draft capital, new QB and tops in cap space.

Evero would probably be the best choice. Has he interviewed in Washington?

Imagine what their fan base would be saying if they hired 2 panthers coaches both DCs back to back. Lmao I bet it would not be pretty.

Washington is definitely not a bad spot. They have a fan base ecstatic about new ownership. But why is Peters already considered a great GM that a coach would jump to work with?  Is it known he's a super great dude or something?
