With Panthers cleaning house how safe is Bryce

That being said, Bryce was the top QB last draft.  Regardless of how incredibly well Stroud has played this season, Young was the consensus.  Honestly, what needs to happen to see Bryce improve is a more unified system.  The idea of marrying McVay with Reich's spread was not great.  We need well designed plays that give QBs answers instead of forcing Young to figure it out.  That's what good offensive coaches do.

That's going to be the biggest challenge: how do we take the players we have under contract (OL is power run, WRs are big and or slow, QB is small, TE is an afterthought, and Chubba is the best RB on the roster), and make a system that works for them.  More than who has the fattest rolodex, I want the coach with the best plan for what we have offensively.  And I want a coach who can lead the team.

I think a good HC can turn this place around very quickly. Despite how terrible this year was we have good pieces in place. 

Next year will be fine.

He’s safe for at least another year. Maybe a 3rd if he shows some progression. 
 

Biggest thing is he won’t be new HC and GMs “guy”.

I will be interested to see if the new folks keep Dalton behind him, sign a a younger borderline starter than Andy, or draft a guy at 33.

What they do at back up QB will determine the confidence level.

Bryce doesn’t belong in the nfl but he’s not going to he cut. 
 

they’ll bring in a veteran in the spirit of open competition, the vet will win the job in preseason, and Bryce will quietly sit on the bench unless there’s an injury. 
 

There will occasionally be calls to see what he can do, and maybe he even fills in well for garbage time or an injury start here or there, but no coach who can make decisions will put him out there again for a full season. 
 

in three more years the panthers will decline to pick up his fifth year option, he’ll get a training camp invite somewhere maybe, and he’ll decide to “pursue other opportunities” in television or whatever. 
 

that is how the story of Bryce the nfl qb will end.

They could have drafted Stetson Bennett who is essentially the same QB as Bryce only a few years older and been just as bad this season but had DJ Moore and the #1 overall pick.

Bryce is god awful and shouldn’t be the only starting option next season.

A legit one?  Not at all.  The rouse this camp gave that away.  Bryce took a couple days of first team reps and managed to replace Dalton as QB1?  Lol, right!

If he's gonna get a gm and Coaching staff worth al lick it will be agreed before they accept their jobs that they will have final say in personnel moves. That being said Young will be under a microscope by the new leadership next year. If he's playing at the same level the first 4 weeks next year he'll find the bench and be moved on from quickly.

I'd be unpleasantly shocked if our new staff doesn't get Bryce some real competition in here. No HC worth his salt is going to accept this job if Bryce is being forced down his throat. If Bryce is subject to legit competition, how many people think that he'll actually win?

Bryce Young is the layer that complicates the hire when accounting for the fact there are multiple vacancies currently and some that have clear upgrades at QB. He will absolutely get next season but any head coaching candidate we hire is and will ask about all possibilities and contingency plans in the event things do not trend significantly upward for Bryce. The best candidate will not take the job if it's build around Bryce and nothing else. That is too much of a risk for any first time head coach. They read the same news we do about this team. Sometimes one chance is all you get. Tepper is going to have to accept his #1 pick just got a whole lot of people fired and we will need to assess possible options for 2025. In the meantime build the OL and get more weapons with what means we have.

he was get the default 1 spot going into next season, I think the next HC would fully have the space to demote him next year though. 

If Bryce picks up where he left off?  He isn't playing 17 for a new HC IMO. 

and Bryce's arm talent is likely to be an issue for a lot of coaches.  Because it impacts playbooks.

      Round 1. TMac arguably the best WR in the draft Round 2. Scour ton mentioned as a possible 1st round edge.     Texas A&M did not use him the same way Purdue did. After the 2023 season he was listed as a first round grade. I believe had Texas A&M used him like they did at Purdue he never makes it out of round 1. Round 3 Princely Umanmielen, we'll go by Princely.  Another highly graded player we got in a lower round. As the video suggests, even if he plays only on passing down it's a positive. Give him a couple of years to develop a he could be a three down player.  Round 4a Etienne IMO a huge upgrade over Blackshear. I can see him in a similar role as CMC without the heavy workload. He can run in between the tackles and has some shifty moves. Give Canales some flexibility. A fellow huddler pointed out UGA running backs don't see the field if they cannot pick up the blitz. Really good pick. Round 4b Ransom a hard hitting safety that has played three different positions on defense. Great pick Round 5a Cam Jackson a massive NT in round 5. I believe a solid rotational pick in a lower round. We added a beast that could make offenses quiver when he's lined up with Brown. Great Value  Round 5b Evans This is another player that can block and has good hands. He also had better seasons before 2024. As a rookie he's probably leaps and bounds better than Ian Thomas. I think he gives us a three headed monster at TE.  Round 6 Horn Jr. Many believe he's just going to be a KR/PR player. I believe there are going to be packages for him to get on the field as a WR. His speed with TMac and Thielen in the slot could be special. I'm really looking forward to seeing him in training camp. I've watched some film and he is very explosive.  Overall I love our picks. I honestly believe all of them will contribute this season. I don't believe we reached on one player in this draft.  This weekend we get a small look at these rookies

      You joke, but hasn't basically the whole team been in Charlotte this past week together? I'm not one to see the random dumb stuff players put out on social media in the offseason and think it means that's ALL they've been doing and not working on their game.  But it's a little strange that all this is coming out at the same time we're seeing tons of stuff with the team in Charlotte together, even if it's just working out and not even official team OTA's or anything. So he gets a pass from me saying anything now, but if he doesn't show clear improvement this season, it then opens him up to some retroactive criticism for some things.
