Teppers chance for redemption

It's too late. The decisions they've made are so bad that I'd be shocked if any semblance of competence surfaced. The team has degraded from a flawed but talented roster lacking a franchise QB to one that has no identity, no star players, and an owner best known for firing coaches mid season on the regular and throwing drinks at opposing fans.

The best thing he could do is hire professional football people to run the ship and completely disappear.

It will be a long road to travel, but he has a chance to be redeemed by doing things right this time.

No more analytics bullshitt and start doing things that are proven to work. Hire football guys to do football things and throw the spread sheets away. Things can change quickly in the NFL if you got the right people to facilitate it.

Hopefully he has learned something from the disaster of the last few years. If he hires people that know their shitt and gets out their way, maybe they can turn this thing around.

This is his chance to set things right and restore the team to the one we had.

I wish this would happen but Tepper's ego is far to big for him to accept that he's a major reason why this team is so bad. I said earlier why doesn't he take the model from the team he came from? PITTSBURGH

The owner is hand off but still gets credit for having a great team.

I'm not so.much on Wilks but Cam, with a noodle arm is 100% better than Young.

Coaching hires are always a momentum swing. If we sign Johnson he won’t do anything here. He’s riding the coattails of a lions team that bought into the HC.

Last years squad bought into Wilks. He won the hearts of the team and had the momentum to make a statement as HC this year. Wilks here in Carolina is a different Wilks elsewhere.

    • Yeah I think he's just talking continuity it's not really an endorsement. Also I would think CarolinaHuddle of all places would understand using "we" for the team you follow. I can't STAND when dorks do the "Oh so you play for them then? Hurr hurr"
    • Kon is a damn stud but it’s not any individual player’s team. All of the “big 3” are incredibly and equally important IMO. And LaMelo makes Kon way better (look at his shooting splits with LaMelo on the floor vs without. Also Moose and even Miles are important cogs. Honestly think we’re 1 piece away from being legit top contenders if the young guys continue to develop the next year or two. I trust this FO to be patient to find that piece within the next 2-3 years and not force anything. Plenty of time and even without adding anyone we have the pieces in place overall already to compete with any team.
    • We lost 2 very close and winnable games against top teams in the league while missing 3 critical players despite 2 of our top 3 players shooting unusually terribly. Still split the 4 games that Moose and Miles were suspended, winning the most important one vs the Hawks. This ain’t yo mama’s Hornets man. Hopefully Coby can go soon but even if not Moose and Miles are huge additions for our starting lineup and bench rotations. Schedule is pretty tough after these next 4 but I think we’ll take care of business the next 4 to get to .500 then finish slightly above .500 after that to get a 7 or 8 seed. Keep it rolling boys. Also Kon is having an insanely historic rookie season as a shooter. Like truly can’t believe my eyes watching this kid level of historic. Man what a fuging home run of a draft pick and exactly what this team needed to take that next step forward. He’s gonna shatter the rookie 3 point and franchise 3 point records. Has a real chance to be the 2nd best 3 point shooter ever or dare I say even get to Curry’s level (as a pure shooter, Curry obviously has way more to his game that has made him a GOAT).
