It's kind of depressing going on Miami's forums and seeing all the posts of everyone agreeing that Tua has too many limitations to take them anywhere. Meanwhile, he's bigger and has a stronger arm than Bryce and does literally everything better than him...

Exactly....i just went by a forum and saw that. Its crazy how diluted these bryce supporters are to actually compare him to tua like he is a legitimate bench mark of what bryce can be. Tua is a limited overrated qb himself and wont take that team anywhere. They said that as if we didnt need to see tua perform in high stakes playoff game first to back any of that up...well what now?  Dolphins fans don't want to pay that guy.

He's the best version of Bryce. Bryce is a poor man's Tua.

We were at the game last night and Tua had receivers open at the deep corners and to the perimeter all night. The Chiefs challenged him to take it while clamping down on the short and middle (god how great was it to see those DBs lighting up those short swing passes) and Tua/Miami had no answers. That TD lob to Tyreek was a serious rainbow even before the wind killed it too.

In fairness, it was really, really cold. But Mahomes played in the same weather and the throws were moving fine for the most part. Big physical difference on display.

    • Damn I liked A'Shawn too. This is basically a heads up we're planning on cutting you move.  Robinson wasn't the best but I loved his attitude and effort on the field. He held that entire dline together when Brown went down iirc..granted we finished that season as the worst rushing defense in modern NFL history.  If Wharton would have performed up to atleast half of his salary last season, I'd feel a little better about it. We do need that cap space though.

They made the playoffs, but they're not yet knocking on the door. (Offense was 26th in EPA/play.) I think it's imperative they don't overestimate where they are in their build. They can't throw a ton of money around in FA to "make a run now". They need to be intentional about building a solid foundation. (IMO) And from what I know about the team... I think they will be. Sidenote: I have my eye on offense there, not defense. They HAVE to leave next season with a strong opinion on Bryce Young. They need to put pieces around him to do that. Can't be left wondering what he would have looked like with "better OL play" or "more pass catchers". They have to know. (That part is purely my opinion. No one told me that.) https://x.com/lindsay_rhodes/status/2027212533417869499?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA
    • Because this DL is completely reliant on Brown being available and being a stud. Without him we were the worst D in history. The Wharton signing last year reeked of desperation. He just isn't a great fit for us schematically and I think we panicked a little bit when we missed out on Milton Williams who would have been a great fit.
