The Peacock playoff game averaged 23 million viewers (including the Miami and KC local broadcasts)

Its being referred to as the most-streamed live event ever in the US

for comparison, the most watched TNF Prime game averaged 15.26m (last novembers SEAvDAL game)

the Texans-Browns game averaged 29m viewers 

the Peacock game had a 6% larger audience than the same time slot playoff game last year, so NBC and the NFL will likely view this as a success.

I'm sure they will see it as a "success" (because they want to see it as such), but comparing a playoff game to a TNF regular season game isn't necessarily the best comparison. The fact that it had 6 million less than the Texans-Browns should tell them something. That's quite a difference.

I just watch highlights of the games n YouTube on my phone and follow games on espn game cast, I’ve been TV free for 5 years.

Oh wait, that’s what we had 5 years ago with cable (and it was at least reasonably priced in areas with competition).

You just knew this was the end result when all this streaming crap started. And just wait, the greed will continue to make it worse. 
 

Only way to get this to reverse is for us all to stop paying these prices for these largely worthless services. 

 

 

Cable was terrible. I pay way less for the services than I ever did for cable. That model is dead forever.

Peacock streams a ton of sporting events.  NFL was just never touched.  Soccer was moved to Peacock three years ago and that platform froze and crashed every week.  Folks better be glad it’s not 3 year ago quality.
