Panthers interview said candidate and get hyped to hire the re-tread...

We did this exact same poo last year guys.

We've been conditioned to accept mediocre options as our best choice.

As much as everybody says it, Tepper is not an idiot.

He wants to win.   Tepper has to have made some self realizations to even interview Vrabel.

And from the way Person is saying it, Morgan is the liaison to the owner now so it won't be like it was  (we will see).

Yeah he is, at least in this regard. Nothing he's done so far proves otherwise, with most every action to date supporting that he knows nothing about football. Until that changes in calearly visible ways dude has zero benefit of the doubt.

i have a good feeling about Dave Canales. Something tells me this dude can get it done.

While I like Canales as a candidate as well, I'd feel even better if we had some more interviews under our belt before diving in.

Yea but this isn't knowing about football.

It's understanding your personality and organization and why it has failed.    I think he's seen where he has gotten in the way.  Otherwise this interview doesn't even happen.

Not sure why everyone is amped about this. Is he a better coach than what we have had so far? Maybe. But, he's still in the same boat Reich was when we hired him - recently let go. Not sure we are learning anything by making this move.

It means somebody with options will actually pick up the phone when the Panthers call.

Not a fan of Vrabel for this particular team. Vrabel is a good coach for a more playoff ready team. Chargers come to mind. I think he might have been a good fit on the Raiders. But no, for the Panthers, he's not the best candidate. The Panthers need to hire a young offensive minded head coach and let him take his lumps alongside the rest of the team.

But I am starting to wonder if Vrabel and Arthur Smith are teaming up again wherever Vrabel ends up. Not a big fan of that pairing for this roster.

    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
    • Didn’t get around to watching this one but looks like Pistons played their starters and actually tried…? Unlucky that they sit vs Magic, etc and try vs us. Hopefully we can beat the Heat and then Magic or 6ers with no Embiid. BUT if not, the NBA really should give us the lottery win this year like they did Mavs last year. Another high pick could be our final missing piece and have us as legit top contenders next year and going forward if we’re healthy. Or trade it for a Giannis type
