Doubling down on Young. I don't like it. We NEED Young insurance.

In that same vein, it is my contention that Bryce played so horribly---admitedly coaching could've been have been a part of it---that he's making the receivers look like they were playing horribly as well.

People were trying to talk poo about Mingo---Mingo, a rookie. Mingo didn't look as bad as any other rookie WR trying to figure things out. And I know damned well that Chark didn't go from looking like a pro-level receiver in Jacksonville and a pro-level receiver in Detroit to Charlotte and just turn to sh¡t. I think that our receiving group suffered due to Bryce's reticence to throw the ball on time, that's if he was able to see over the line or maneuver in a manner consistent with hitting them in such a manner where they could catch the ball, but aalso hit them in a manner that could help them their productivity.

You certainly have a valid point.  The future doesn't look bright for Young at this point.

But I will point out that for us, Baker Mayfield (imo) looked worse than Bryce did, but with the proper coaching and team around him, he looked at least adequate at QB this year.  We can at least hope for the same in Bryce for the next year.  Probably won't work, but I am not sure we have any choice.

I don't look as an old Band-Aid as insurance, just a backup to Nowhere. We're not going to really achieve anything awesome by letting a retread lead a team that's in the process of trying to rebuild and establish a franchise QB.

Dalton is probably going to be better in the short term than any of the 2nd round or later QB's.

Dalton is insurance. A rookie QB is just freewheel gambling.

I am okay with eithet scenario but it ultimately won't matter. Young is clearly the guy Tepper buys in to.

I think we need a veteran QB to steady the ship while we try to stop the bleeding.

Asking Nix / McCarthy / Penix to come in at 33 and start winning straight away is foolish.

I’ve been saying we need to upgrade QB2 this off-season.

Some free agent vets that can be available include Gardner Minshew, Tyrod Taylor, and Jacoby Brissette.

It’s too early to bail on Bryce forever, but he needs to have a starter-level backup that can legitimately push him (and win us games in the process).

Double down on him for THIS year. Fine. I'd prefer a decent vet be allowed to push him but whatever. But if he sucks again you have to swallow the bitter pill and move on.

Et tu...of all the people who have been critical from the beginning...They're not going to allow some retread to start over Young at the beginning of the year, unless they've already decided that there's no hope. That being the case, Young won't even feel pushed. No, he needs to feel the pressure---someone who could legitimately take his job from the start of training camp.

It just is what it is. Tepper isn't ready to accept it yet. I just hope he doesn't rage fire more coaches mid-season because his super processor looks like a JV QB playing against the varsity squad.

The reason you don't draft another QB this year is really simple.  It muddies the waters in 2025.

If we draft a QB, let's say 2nd or 3rd round, he's for sure not going to start.  BY is going to start, don't get this twisted.  So here you sit, in 2025, high 1st round pick in your pocket . . . but what about the guy you drafted in 2024?  Is he the answer?  You don't know because BY started.

No muddy water.  Sink or swim with Bryce and find out for sure.  If something completely bizarre happens and Penix is available in the 4th or late compensatory part of the third, ok, fine.

it literally does not muddy the waters at all, as evidenced by THIS YEAR 2022 3rd round pick Matt Coral not being thought about at all as they traded the world for their magical midget

It's very simple, Frank Reich and Co. didn't see Matt Coral as anything other than a JAG.

Last year Bryce was bad.  The Panthers were Bad.  The coaching staff is gone.  But we still invested a LOT into getting Bryce.  We don't know if Bryce is the guy or not, but he couldn't be accurately judged in the poo show that was last season.  Knowing our track record, if we unloaded him, we'd end up looking like fools, regardless of what people think of his height or size.

Die meisten Schüler wissen nicht, wo sie anfangen sollen, wenn es um diese Innovation geht. Das ist leider ein Misserfolg. Wie wichtig ist das? Genau das ist es, was nicht zu Ihrer Mission gehört. Ich bin gespannt, was Amigos in diesem Zusammenhang vermuten.   FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/venisellereviews/ https://www.facebook.com/smartfocusglasses/ https://www.facebook.com/yummyslimreviews/ https://www.facebook.com/veeloboostercost/ https://www.facebook.com/motionenergygermany/ https://www.facebook.com/activestinreviews/ https://www.facebook.com/matchaslimpills/ https://www.facebook.com/magicoagermany/ Site Google: https://sites.google.com/view/activestinreviews/ https://sites.google.com/view/matcha-slim-pills/ https://sites.google.com/view/magicoareviews/ https://ketrionselee.company.site/
    • Am I reading this right? We've had awful QB play for over half a decade...and we'd pass on Dak because he has no "clutch gene" or can't get it done in the playoffs--something we haven't sniffed and have no reason to believe we will for years to come?!? Sorry, but this sounds like a starving man turning down a box of crackers because they're Great Value instead of Ritz. If a Great Value QB is available when you have none, there is no deliberation needed.
