Like..why even opt for this interview?  I swear, they have the worst optics I've ever seen for a sports franchise.  Just a mega-rich couple that has the worst self-awareness you'll ever come across.

Her and Dave don't have the personal restraint to just be in the background.  You don't have to do anything.  Just stop.

She did.

It's just embarrassing that the proudest thing about their ownership of a football team has absolutely nothing to do with football and led to the shitty field that the players are constantly bitching about. I mean, that pretty much sums it up right there.

The minute I heard it, my first thought was that getting a grass stadium was a pipedream now if she is crowing about all the events which made me think they are about the money. They don't care about the players. Then again apparently KC routinely gets rated poorly on facilities and player engagement but keep winning.  Apparently if you get the right players and coach and win a bunch, other factors like grass or turf tale a big backseat.

But Arrowhead has grass.

It wasn't about grass it was that the field doesn't matter nor does the facilities or how players are treated if you are winning and you have the right players. Players want to win and play with other winners. Things like grass or turf are issues in Charlotte because we lose and suck and we bitch about everything. Apparently I didn't explain it well.

And the Tepper's haven’t been meddling and directing us toward moves that have contributed to the putrid football product that's been on the field the last 5 years?

What are you even trying to say here?

That we’ve sucked so bad that there isn’t anything football wise to be proud of so I can see Nicole saying concerts. Pretty simple. People making fun of her to say that yet there’s zero Panthers related that could have been said. Doesn’t absolve Tepper from his horrid hiring record.

As others have said the last thing anyone wants to hear is bluster from either of the Tepper's. Hire football people and let them do the talking.

Nicole speaking like this from a position of perceived power on her part only further lends credence to the notion that she and her husband are feckless overly controlling and attention seeking.

They need to let Dan Morgan Dave Canales or literally anyone else do the talking.

I can't make that more clear.

Some of you still haven’t accepted the Teppers are doing with the franchise what kids do with doll houses and legos. This is their toy. To distract them from boredom. A brief talking point at dinner. They’re beyond rich and have zero worries in the world.

They are just tinkering around. They have no ties or personal reasons to care about Charlotte or success. This team is at most just a stream of revenue but it doesn’t even need to be that in the slightest.

The Panthers don’t have a chance to win anything until a new owner takes over.

    • Will be interesting to see how the Caps adjust. They were thoroughly beaten in this game despite it going to OT and they knew it by getting chippy. If they lose game 2 they’re in a hole they might not be able to dig themselves out of. They played old and tired tonight and I think they might get swept.
    • He makes a good point about Wallace.  In fairness to Wallace it is hard to play your position as freely as you need to when your defensive line is getting pushed around like ragdolls.  One of the greatest attributes a defensive line has is sucking up blocks, freeing up your linebackers.  Our defensive line couldn't suck up a lollipop more or less blocks.  I think Evans, Sanders and Tremble are going to be a really nice TE group.  I can see all three getting time on the field.  If Sanders can improve as a blocker teams won't be so inclined to believe it is a pass play whenever Sanders is on the field.  Ryan Fitzgerald, I think was an awesome pick-up. Hopefully he can fill our kicker void. Luke Kandra many turn out to be our next Norwell.  Everything I have heard about him says he's a beast.  He needs some refinement, but the good news is he's got Hunt and Lewis (arguably the best guard tandem in the league) to learn from.
    • Great teams build through the draft and have several young players that start that are on rookie contracts. It's important to hit on players in rounds 4 thru 7.  These should be future starters and solid depth.  When you hit on most of your picks you free up a lot of cap space for those one- or two-year players to fill spots you are thin at. No GM is going to perfect on all their picks.  You're going to whiff every once in a while.  That was Hurney problem.  He'd nail the first pick but after that it was reach after reach and we couldn't get any depth on this team. I'm excited about Morgan as our GM and hopefully he'll be around a long time.  It will be even better if Canales can continue to grow as a head coach, both in the development of young players and play calling. I remember last season after Young came back in the lineup and started to perform well.  We saw different plays I had only seen other teams use.   If Canales's play design and play calling continue to grow. Morgan and Canales will be linked together for a long time.  It would be nice to see a Coach and GM together for a decade or two. Go Panthers
