He's just not a fit with Bryce. His strength is going deep. Bryce's biggest weakness is the deep ball.

Yeah not understanding some people who want vertical guys in the draft either. Just gonna be burning calories for nothing, Safeties aren't gonna be fooled by it to abandon the middle of the field.

How many passes over 35 yards are thrown a game? How many are completed? I feel like taking the shots are as important as hitting them, to keep the defense honest. The first step is to take more shots and calling plays/schemes that make them early reads in the progression.

Fair enough.

However, the threat of a allowing a quick one if you screw it up, is there? Or is Not there?

Big effect on the defender. An actual threat needs to exist.

This board is not very good at troubleshooting this issue.

Are the people having this issue on iPhone, Android, Windows, Mobile or PC, MacBook?

Chrome, Edge, Firefox?

And the people that it “just works” for after “a few seconds”, what are you using?

Clearly this is also Twitter vs X links related, but need more info on what y’all are using when it does/doesn’t work.

@TheSpecialJuanif they keep crapping on you about this (after many months of zero progress), please start a new thread about it and I’ll help troubleshoot it.  I’m in IT and I know good and well it’s not you, it’s a one-off technical glitch.

Haters gonna hate and then pile on.

Chark doesn't really move the needle much for me. Packers game was really the only time he caught everything whereas he seemed to drop every other big play chance he got.  Also the injury history and the fact that his statline for his Lions stint was quite similar albeit with one less start.

500 yards and 3/5 TD plus unreliable availability? Yeah, I'd rather roll with a rookie.

It's Elon Musk's fault.

No really, he threw that tantrum and wanted to rebrand twitter to x and the embed script is set to work with 'twitter.blahblah' links instead of 'x.blahblah' links.

We as mods don't have the permissions to edit the embed script, so as the great philosophizer John Fox once said:

He killed it with Williams in college. Bryce is gonna flip the narrative on him this year with a much better oline better weapons and competent coaching. He’s still the same player that most analysts loved

Why do we need a vertical threat? Its like you guys just dont get it.

The opposing D can stop their deep zones at 25 yards and never have to worry about Bryce throwing it over their heads.

Even if he does manage to get it over them, he only completes his deep passes at like 30% so nothing to even worry about.

The field is condensed with Bryce at QB and there is no way to get around it.

46.1 yards.

That's Youngs average of yards per catch with passes over 20 yards.  College yes.... proof he can still sling it.

Completed at 36% in college lmao that translates to like 15-20% in the NFL, even Mac Jones was completing his deep shots at 50% in college.

Bryce is a bum, this season is not going to be any better, the only way we will win more games is by going run heavy and hiding Bryce.

This is the key, average starting corners makes $10M a year (see Jackson, Donte). Unless they regularly gets beat deep, as every talking head will find a pff-type stat "it's a concern he was was best deep three times last season" to sound smart.

We sometimes forget these guys are first and foremost looking out for themselves. And seeing a burner on the other side of the los will make everyone back off a little, regardless of what the coach said about the deep accuracy of the QB. And the cb like just as bad 5 yards behind the receiver even if the qb overshoots him by 10 yards.

While I appreciate the relationship with Bryce that Chark developed, I just didn't see enough production.  The backbreaking drops were the worst thing.  If he would come back on a 1 year min, great, but if I'm DJ, I go somewhere to try to prove I deserve a decent payday.  I'm not sure returning to the scene of the crime that was the 2023 offense is a good idea.

    • This draft is 2023 all over again, it's not hard to see. QB's who don't grade out as high first round prospects while at the same time, the following draft class looks to be loaded with elite QB prospects. Drafting a QB just because you need one (or making a bad trade to make said draft pick), when there isn't one worthy of that draft pick, is how you ruin franchises, just look at us right now.
    • I upgraded to the S24+ a few weeks back. Very happy with it.
    • LOL... Yet again proving you can't look below anything than what you see on the surface Mock drafts ARE NOT draft grades They are what people think will happen.  They are mocking teams taking QB's in the top 5 of the draft because that's just historically how drafts go regardless of the grades on the QBs.  Almost every draft expert, even those mocking QB's going high, have said time and time again that none of these QB's actually grade out as those type of picks. This is again, where I say you don't like to actually read what I have to say, because I already explained it. 2022 the exact same thing happened, mock drafts had guys like Pickett and Willis going in the Top 5 because that's just what teams usually do, but GM's listened to their prospect grades and knew they weren't worth taking that high, so they didn't. It's not to say QB's won't go that high this year, but it's to say that they aren't graded out as elite QB prospects.   And yes, I've never said I'm not a T-Mac homer. But me being that doesn't change that he will be the highest graded offensive player in this year's draft, at a position we haven't been able to solve since we lost Smitty.  Taking him makes all the sense in the world, my bias aside.
