How can we be shocked? Literally every other team actually played starters at in the preseason and we hid Bryce.

Not asking to play them the whole preseason, but it is coaching malpractice to not give the guys reps since communications killed them all day yesterday.

I said if before and I'll say it again, Bryce Young is not an NFL caliber QB and we sold the farm for him.

1 - I knew it was going to be bad but not that bad. The team is weak and got bullied. Morgan looks like a clown and DC like a guy who has never coached in the NFL before.

They took a jab to the face on all 3 phases of the game and got ragdolled after that. That dawg has no fight in it lol

I was very surprised. I guess I'm just an idiot but I actually believed with some protection and an off-season of preparation that Bryce may be able to achieve average QB in the league. I didn't expect the world and all I had hoped for was just an average starter with lots of help around him. Needles to say I was shocked and down and now feel like an idiot

The scheme and the offensive line looked better. But it's clear the team just doesn't believe in Bryce. The defense especially. They saw that first pick and said, "yeah I'm not doing this poo again."

Can't say I blame them after being left on the field every game last year too. The next 2-3 games (3 if he gets another) are going to be crucial for Bryce to show something or he's done.

I recognize the fan in you doesn't want Young to be a failure. Quit extending him another 2 or 3 games to show something. He hasn't shown anything in a season+. Nothing, nada, nul, nunca.

Shocked we looked as bad as we did.  I thought were going to lose, but damn, that was rough.  If I remember correctly, I was thinking about 6 wins this year, which is still a bad team.  I thought we would look slightly better than last year.  Based off yesterday, boy was I wrong!

They looked exactly like I expected.

2023's worst team with a rookie coaching staff, a Bryce Young QB'd offense, an overachieving defense stripped of talent starting guys that were cut by other teams two weeks ago, a team that hadn't played any real simulated football together outside one series against another team's second string that was opening on the road against a divisional rival in one the harshest environments in the NFL.

Anyone that expected anything different was just deluding themselves.  It was only a matter of how badly we'd lose.

I went with '3'.

After watching Young last year, you had to be aware that that performance could happen.

He hasn't proven much in the way of good, but there was hope for seeing some of the near field point guard throws be at least somewhat effective.

Was very surprised to see that slack run defense.  I knew there were issues elsewhere.

The run defense and run offense was shockingly bad. The rushing offense may have been the biggest disappointment overall.

I expected us to be pretty bad, but this was somehow even worse. This season will be all about the o-line growing together, develop young talent on both sides of the ball etc. Then we can be ready for a new QB in the draft. I think this will end up being a very strong group of QBs, so I’m excited about it.

I was shocked at how bad they were. The most shocking things was that they played with no heart at all. They got pushed around and made fun of repeatedly and didn't do a single thing about it.

We were getting out-physicaled all day long.

Hopefully it's just a product of rust and lack of cohesion due to trying to develop chemistry. I have my doubts though that time will help, especially with a QB playing as bad as Bryce.

I thought we would lean on the run a lot more and slowly add Bryce with some PA throws.  Looks like a team that has not bought in.

I don't think Bryce is completely broken yet but whatever newfound confidence he'd started to build went down the drain with that first pick.

I expect them to look a little better next week but won't "figure it out" until Jonathon Brooks becomes the starter in 5 or 6 games.  We'll have won maybe 1 game by them and realize our only option is to pound the rock.  We will start doing that.  Brooks will break out as a star.  Bryce will improve little by little and start to look like his college tape or he actually is a complete bust and around week 10 Canales realizes we have a stud oline and RB and he'll bench Bryce.  We'll stupidly then win just enough games to kill a high enough draft pick to replace Bryce.

    • He’s also 21 years old. I don’t know why fiz is so eager to label him a bust
    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
