Bro we need to full stop this draft a early QB talk. Just like BY getting carr'd, the same would happen to the next rookie QB. They need to build the team at least so the next QB doesnt get shell shocked, its a waste.

Draft a edge with the #1 and sign some vet to get though the rough water.

*If by some chance they dont, you can not play that QB until its safe.

BS. Carr helped Carr himself. In both cases their playing style is a train wreck in the NFL. That 1st interception was from the pocket in the new scheme and it melted down in 1 play.

I actually think the offensive infrastructure is in a pretty good place, the problem is the QB isn't an NFL level talent. The scheme was good, the line gave the QB time, receivers were open. Bryce airmailed open receivers and it's on him to identify the nickel blitz and slide protections, shift his RB to the blitz side, and audible to a hot. He did none of those things.

I believe they still need - TE, RB, WRs, C, maybe a LT, future RT.

OG lewis was in and out the line up. Hunt is only off the list cause dead money.

The team needs a team.

Basically QB jesus is not going to save them, even Joe burrow was could not save this team and he turned around the bungals and their 20+ years of losing.

This is a legitimately 0-17 type squad with the secondary, pass rush, and QB play. And let’s be real, we’re still likely a top pick at 3-14 so if Bryce is completely awful, I see no reason why we shouldn’t try out other tank commanders to help see what else we’ve got on this team.

It would be nice to at least try to find parts for the future.

    • I can't tell you what other's expect from him before they will start believing in him. I think for some, they will never be able to overcome his size. I think that is the fundemental problem for them which means they will never be happy with him behind center. For others, it seems he will have to be in the top 10% in pretty much every catagory and do that all seaon for them to start believing in him. Not everyone of course. There are people on this board that, while have doubts, can still acknowledge his good plays and are willing to give him another season. Those folks I would assume just want consistency - and wins. I could be off on all the above but that's kind of how I see it. And while you didn't ask, I will say I'm glad they picked up his 5th year option. He earned it. I do not think he should be signed to a long term contract yet. I do think he will develope in a franchise QB and will get the Panthers back into the playoffs and win them but I know I could be wrong. Next year will be the big test. If the offense continues to improve and they get back to the playoffs because of the offense, it will be time to sign him long term. If it's a repeat of this year, then it's time to look elsewhere for a QB. Like I said though, I believe he can be the guy so would be surprised if he doesn't make it.
    • Well since I am so biased, why don’t you tell us what he has to do to earn the trust of everyone that doubts him? If you say he has already done it, we really will never agree.
