He has won it all. 2008.

Yea I just think he needs at least 1 more, that is a little lacking with 18 trips and byes to the playoffs. It's a minor deal.

Like Reids has three and he's in the top 10 cause of that. If Mike got one more, he'd be a firm top 10 HC. He can do it, he's still "NFL HC" young.

This year could be the year if wilson still has magic 4th quarter BS. KC is weak, I think the Steelers could beat the lions.

Carolina - suck it up for a couple months, get a lot foot targets and stat pad

Ravens - go do dirty work on the edge

Carolina was the place if he was smart.  It was just a couple months and he couldn’t pull it off

Id agree on Harbaugh, Reid not so much.  IMO actually he's a better game management coach than reid, I think Reid is just a brilliant designer.  He's made every QB ever that played for him look elite, from mcnabb, to Vicks resurgence, and then from Alex Smith to Patrick Mahomes.  Reid is in that Mcvay, Shannahan area of head coaches to me.  He doesnt have to do as much developing in game decision making because he has such an elite offensive mind.  Tomlin is a well rounded mind, John Harbaugh is one, Pete Carrol was another, and frankly Bill Bellichik was in that vein.  He has this aura of offensive genius to him, but it was because Brady was thee actual GOAT.  Bellichik was a wizard of game prep, and that elevated those around him.  Regardless, Tomlin is an elite coach and after he wins his superbowl (he will eventually), he'll be in contention for a gold jacket one day.

Andy Reid is the best QB coach of all-time. He just happens to be a HC. Plus one nit pick about Andy Reid, is he needs elite defenses to carry him. He had some of the best one sided trades with Mcnabb(to wash lollolols)   A.J. Feeley to the Dolphins for a 2005 2nd-round pick, (my god!, call 911), Kevin Kolb to the Cardinals for a 2nd-round pick. He rode Jim Johnsons D until the eagles made a move, I called them out for the giant mistake, but sometimes its best for everyone and it was.

They have no chance. Ok, there is a chance, as there is always a chance for disaster every game. But realistically, they aren't representing the AFC in the last game of the season.

There is an opinion that Tomlin is good for 9 or 10 wins every year, but never being good enough to challenge for anything more significant.

That might be the case. It could also be they still don't have the replacement for their last Superbowl-winning qb, or a little of both probably.

This was his best shot of being the #1 guy. He ain't doing that anywhere else. This was his best shot of putting up the numbers he needed to get paid. If Thielen could come here and get 100 and 1000 with a bad Bryce, then he should have too.

Good lord. I remember hoping we could convince him to re sign with us.

Thankfully I'm sitting on a cell phone instead of making decisions for this team.

Mike Wallace

Antonio Brown

Martavis Bryant

JuJu

Claypool

Dionate

all looked like legit and showed enough to think they might be studs….but Mike Tomlin clearly can sniff it out and part right with them right before the bad comes

Also, to be honest, I think he must have been a locker room problem and that hurts buy in with Canale's method coaching/inspiring.

Makes you wonder if Mingo was another malcontent, too?

we knew that when we signed him. That's why Pitt had been trying to deal him.  People are praising Morgan but I don't think we should.  He got out of something he never should of done to begin with.  It was always poor judgement on his part.  So I think we should acknowledge both sides of that coin.

Some teams can take the risk of handling a problem child.  A rookie HC, rookie HC, really bad young QB trying to rebound......isn't the type team a GM should of saddled a problem WR with

    • Sure want him to play if possible!!!!
    • Which would be 8-8-1. An improvement.
    • Not sure who you are talking to. Everybody maybe? Anyhow the family cat woke me up so….  Saturday, I will be in the playoff frame of mind for that game don’t worry about that. Will be living and dying on each play. Pretty sure everyone will be. That is still a few days away though.  Right now it is yes we made the playoffs. Backed into it with some convoluted 3 way tie breaking magic. It took a heroic finish - not by us, but by Atlanta. I don’t hardly know how to feel about it. I don’t feel like we won it. It is just sort of, well okay here we are, somehow. Our number came up. We were lucky. And that is what we were. Not good, lucky.  As far as here, this discussion, I think people rightly feel like, look at the offense. And it is kind of, what offense? They shut our run down and we become totally stagnant. Some people have faith that the QB can beat people with his arm but we aren’t doing it. We went into our bye off a big high. In or tied for, first place. We control our destiny. 4 games to do it. And we freaking finished 1-3. That control our destiny thing? We didn’t control poo when it comes down to it. Lost in the mix is basically a huge collapse. No one really called it out, it got lost in the excitement of the chase. But, 1-3 with the playoffs on the line - every week. Not inspiring. I mean, you don’t call that trending up, and if we hadn’t lucked into the tournament that would be our finish headed into the offseason. Not what you want. And if we don’t win Saturday? 1-4 to finish the year.  Limping out.  Okay that said I do hate going into playoffs on a winning streak because you are almost due to end the streak and that loss ends your season, so dropping One before the elimination games start is almost a comfort. But 1-3 with a 54 yard passing total in one of them? Followed by 14 points in a must win. Hmmm.   I am supposed to be optimistic? Sorry I don’t think I can be. I can hope, that’s different. It has just been a rough 8 years, and the excitement of having a winning record is in the rear view this week. About the only way we can have one is make the NFCCG I think.    Anyhow, on offense, where are the signs that we can beat people who stymie our run game? I suppose it could happen out of the blue but we haven’t really been able to pull that off.  Beating Tampa Bay was good. That was it though. Our other last little bit of glory is two plays on 4th down where they didn’t really pay attention in the back end, somehow, and we got two really nice results.  Not once, but twice back to back. Honestly it was so out of character it felt a little fluky.  And here we are, depending on that to happen Saturday. At least I guess is what we are hoping for. Good luck to us.
