my guy is learning! This is what you want out of the second wealthiest owner in the NFL

no talks of analytics or hedge funds, just letting his football people do football things

that’s my kind of owner, sit in that box and count that money while writing big checks

The one example of his “meddling” with some meat on the bone, the Bryce pick, is starting to look better. All that other nonsense doesn’t matter. He made plenty of mistakes early in his staffing hires, but I couldn’t care less if his business side is ruthless (duh) or he dumps a drink on an asshole fan. I’m glad he has been quick on the trigger for coaches, if JR were still here we’d still have Rivera and Hurney’s bum asses with still likely no Cam at this point to make them look competent. If anything Tepper waited a year too late with Rhule. Seems to have gotten this staff right finally.

    • The panthers are such a trash organization at this point that all the huddle can do is argue about which panthers team is historically the worst…good times.
    • Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.
    • I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
