What's your confidence level in Canales?

That's the kinda thing for which experience is the best teacher.

That’s why I’m as hopeful as I am at the moment.  His flaws look to be correctable and lean more towards inexperience rather than ineptitude.

Theres a real chance we’ve found our guy. Fingers crossed.

Definitely more positive than I was about the initial hire. What's impressed me more than Bryce's journey with him is how the coaching staff and play calling has evolved over the course of the season. They're clearly focused on getting better which in turn is going to lead to winning.

Very interested to see what they lean into more next season vs. show less of.

I am gonna go B -

He got Young playing much better in the 2nd half of the season and it has given the fan base hope.

Some concerns I have with him

1) he seems too nice and to peaches and roses. i like to see some fire out of a coach.

2) he doesn't seem to interfere with the DC when he ought to. if I am the HC aint no team gonna just keep running the ball down my throat. hell naw. ill tell the DC to blitz the hell out them up the running gaps and force you to beat me through the air. no one is just gonna sit there and beat me doing the same stuff all game.

Confidence is sky high with him on offense he took Bryce young and took him from horrific to looking like an nfl starter.  Defensively I have no clue why he wants to stick with the DC.  Not sure what he sees in him but maybe he thinks its just a lack of talent overall.  But I remember some of the panthers dcs int he past taking teams with no talent and making them look good Jack Delrio I felt was good at that.

Agree or disagree? 🤔

Still a meh for me.

2 wins to 5 wins isn't that big of a deal. Remember how much we screamed Rhule sucked and he was a 5 win coach.

Rebuilt the oline? More like bought the oline. Most expensive line in the NFL. Plus this would be more of a Morgan thing than a DC.

Unlocking Bryce's potential is a wait and see. Bryce looked like ass to start, got benched and then began to play well once the season was essentially over. That's a load of pressure off the QB. Do I like where BY is trending, yes. Can he do it for a full season? We'll see.

Chuba as a 1k yard rusher. Most expensive line in the NFL. If we had less than a 1k yard rusher I'd be pissed. Chuba has looked much better as a receiver and has obviously put in the work.

Do we have a HC? Yes. Is he going to be a good one? Way too soon to tell IMO.

I'm probably at 5/10 for Dave. I'd love to see more consistency, and I also feel like he needs to continue to grow into being HC and play caller. Sometimes the whole operation on offense looks fantastic, and then there are major duds like the Dallas or TB away game.

I'm more wait and see on Morgan. I agree with some of the other posters who mention a need to improve college scouting. If that happens I think we have a good HC and GM combo.

This was quite literally Morgan’s first offseason calling the shots. He had input before but that’s different from being the shot caller. Now he’s got those 20 inch blades on the impala.

We don’t know what he will do, or how he may give more input from Canales regarding offensive picks moving forward.

trust the process.

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
