I'll just put it this way, I wouldn't put money on Brady Christensen returning. Though never a cemented fixture on the line, he may be difficult to replace.

On an off note, we can't let BC and Ekwonu ultimately walk. That's not what responsible franchises do. For those bringing up Ickey, you better appreciate that man. He's not perfect, but is a far cry from dog poo.

Most FAs take the most money being offered. Just the way it is. If he has an opportunity out there to compete for a starting spot he should take it. I don't blame him.

He is 29.  Never earned a starting gig he could hold.  Decent value as a swing T, but we played him at G and C.   He is not a necessity, and you gotta lose some to gain some.

Go figure.

I think we need to draft a T to replace BC as a top swing T (Nijman is not the answer) and eventual Moton replacement.  Moton's knees (knee issues on a big man are not good) and when we sign Ickey, Moton's contract could be an issue if we cannot extend him.  Always plan ahead for unseen circumstances.  If you think the agents don't know when you are vulnerable, you would be wrong for thinking the agents don't know when you are vulnerable.

Good thread.  I would like to see us analyze the S situation, the LB situation, DTs, and the OLB /edge situation soon.

Comp picks are based on the contract they sign elsewhere. We got a third round comp pick for Norwell and he was a UDFA.
