I could almost look past the lack of sacks if he was getting TFLs and/or tackles. The guy was just there. Occupying space. Running around and just not making plays. His "highlights" are hilarious. Like... THIS is his BEST??? Oof.

Stewart would have to play college ball until he's 40 to match Gholston's college stats. LOL

The thought I have had is their interest in Nick Emmanwori with Moehrig on the roster-they are similar players--but both can play deep, cover WRs, and are great in the box. Imagine how we could bring either S into the box while the other plays center field?  Blow up screens--blitzes--2 deep--shut down TEs and play more man underneath---I am seeing it for the first time.  My doctor called it an "epiphany" and wrote me a prescription for it.

Yeah if we got Nick with a trade back my head might explode being so giddy. It’s a passing league but both safeties would make up for deficiencies in the run and pass. 

 

The extra draft capital too! An early 2nd rounder for an edge and maybe a receiver with pick 57! OMG we could potentially crush the draft

He and Mykel Williams bother me--I understand that Mykel was a 3-3-5 DE a lot, and that could hurt his productivity-but then you are basing a top 10 pick on unseen potential---just scary.  I hope we can move back.

I am not liking what I see at #8--but move back like you say and grab a S and an Edge or OT with the second---yup.

It is like playing old maid--I am scared the Panthers will pick him.  I would rather have Mykel or Jalon--but I see Stewart dropping....This draft is going to be SO interesting from top to bottom.

  • Tremendous hands and catch radius makes him a very friendly target for the quarterback

T-Mac will have some of the best hands in the NFL the second he's drafted, it's quite literally his best trait and is as elite as they can get.

For all the legitimate things to ask questions about with him, his hands just flat out aren't one of them.  If you watch his highlight reels you'll see it, the dude just has glue for hands.

And for all the hate I get for what I say about him, even those who get on me for it, the ones who have watched enough of his tape even have to begrudgingly agree with me on this one.

      I think the qualification has changed over time though. A deep ball play used to take 4 to 6 seconds for the receiver to get to that spot on the field. Now a receiver can be there in 2.5. That's less time than most QBs have to set and throw. In my mind a deep route takes time to develop. A crossing route and a deep route can't take the same amount of time at full speed. You can have 4 deep balls on the same drive,  almost 5 if you do 5 20 yard throws goal line to goal line. That doesn't even make sense when you say it out loud.

      The sad part is it looks manicured enough that he's aware it's running away from him.  Also, I just wanted to give you some fun loving grief on King Haynes today having a chance to throw a game winning TD, and was wildly errant, and ultimately picked off to end the game.  So happy I won't have to hear anything else about The Golden Calf of Bristol lite ever again watching college football.

      I just think Panthers believe in Bryce far more than the fans do and he is most likely going to be the QB at least the next two seasons. the real shot of us moving from Bryce is not getting an extension, till then they are going to give him every chance to succeed and I just want to win.
