Smitty is a legendary footballer player but this has really damaged his reputation as a person. You don’t cheat on a woman who has been with you through everything and gave you children and especially not with another man’s wife. He doesn’t even have any remorse about it, acting like nothing happened.

Did it?  Its not like he is the first pro athlete to cheat. In fact, its fairly common. Not that many get caught in the manner he did and I suppose that might have more of an impact on his reputation, but in a few years, I doubt this will matter much.

Yeah, I get them getting involved. The husband not so much. Imagine airing ALL your dirty laundry for what will probably be a $20k payday after fees.

Maybe it's just me, but I ain't putting my personal life out there for used Hyundai money.

My boy: My wife has been cheating on me and I have proof! Here, look at these texts where she's congratulating some other man on how well he pounded her out like she'd never experienced before to the point he rearranged her IUD! I'm gonna post these texts on social media for the whole world to see!

Break every electronic communication device in his house, then take him to get that Ochocinco surgery.

On the topic of him not talking about or acknowledging it, every lawyer on earth would tell a regular citizen to do that in this situation, let alone a well known NFL player and national media guy.  No chirping on social media, no comments to reporters or media outlets, no talking to any of the parties involved.  Whatever counsel he has has probably told him to shut the hell up, because anything he says can only hurt him.

I don't think this is the first time.  There were rumors of a few affairs while he was still playing for the panthers.  He's proven over and over that he's not a good person so I'd be willing to bet those rumors were true.  She definitely should divorce him and take half. Unless of course he was honest with her before they got married that he was going to fug whoever he wanted.

Did you see the texts? Did you listen to the recording of the call? I mean...

If you want to just delusionally support your hero, cool. But the writing has been on the wall about who Smitty is off the field for a long time. Loved watching the guy play ball but he's a guy I have zero desire to meet and I'm done defending him.

No, I had not, nor probably will I. And it's not about defending him, it's about it not really being any of my business. If he did have an affair, that's a terrible thing and something that he'll have to work out with his wife if she chooses to. Will it affect what I think of him? Yeah, probably, but it will also remind me, as has this thread that we've all got feet of clay.

But, I also don't worship sports heroes, or even hold them up as much more than regular folks. And he sure isn't the only Panther to have an affair. Let's face it, there are some that have pretty much had a harem spread around the region before.

Feet of clay. Feet of clay.

I get it. Had it not been posted here I probably wouldn't have seen it either. But if you'd seen it you'd understand how tone deaf it comes across to try to be acting like we don't actually know if Smitty even did it. Bruh, he did it. Oh boy did he ever. LOL

    • PFF feeds the beast.  So it’s largely popular for that IMO and is embraced by the NFL machine because it helps feed the beast.  Thats why you see the cute stats pop on the Monday Night football screen lol.  Hot takes? Fantasy football? Yeah, it’s good for the NFL machine for lots of reason.  I do think the league embraces them.  Not because they are actually good at doing what they claim. actual analytics folks are critical of PFF.  Because it’s not analytics.  It’s subjective goobly goo ratings by dudes that aren’t really qualified nor even have the info to do real grading.  you got legit NFL players who say they have literally put PFF grades by the coaches grades and they are worlds apart.  Players have laughed at them pretending they can grade certain plays without the underlining info.  NFL coaches have called out there bologna at pressers.   could it be a quick tool to find out some info that has nothing to with their subjective grades? Sure.  There is a lot of data on 32 teams for cheap. But I do not buy the narrative 32 NFL teams think their grades are worth a poo or remotely accurate or meaningful.
    • Bills D looks like ass
    • I think that win vs Dallas gave them a big boost of confidence.  Thats a team that blew us out the past 2 seasons. Even when Bryce was playing okay late last season they still beat us pretty bad.  Lets see if we slaughter the Jets or go back to playing sloppy uninspired football and go from there.
