Recent ESPN article suggested compensation says he will realistically fetch a late round pick.

He will be 31 years old this fall with a 10 million dollar cap him next season that balloons to 21 million in 2028.

So at most you're looking at a two year rental.

When are we expecting to become competitive ie push for the playoffs?

I just don't see such a move coinciding with our timeline. It really reminds me of the Gilmore trade in that regard. More of a Madden GM kind of move.

He won't make it through preseason before realizing this is not where he wants to be, for a variety of on and off field reasons, and we are trading him elsewhere for less than we spent to get him.

4 teams in 8 years suggests he doesnt play will with others.  Seems to be a malcontent wherever he goes.  Yeah lets pass on this 31 year old expensive headcase

There's a reason they are dangling him as trade bait right now rather than installing him in preseason OTAs.

Let the buyer beware. If he were a used car he'd have had mid mileage, but many owners.

Evero coached him already and he is friends with Horn.  I'm not too concerned about the personality as long as we aren't allocated a ton of cap towards him and he comes cheap.

Two years seems like a good window for his shelf life.  Big need.  Reasonable cost.  I like it
