Thielen traded

Morgan said Minnesota called wanting Adam back and he told Thielin about it who said he would be interested n going back there since he has a house there and could end his career at the place he started. Morgan said he would do his best but wouldn't give him away for free. But Adam wanted the trade and Dan accommodated him while trying to get something for him. Dan didn't want to trade him but as a former player he knows how important playing in one place can be. And his respect for Adam compelled him to get the deal done.

Absolutely stupid logic.

Lets handicap the team because we respect a player.

Those concussions really did a number on this guy.

I don't think Morgan sees it that way. He talked about Adam's mentorship being a key reason he thinks Coker can man the slot and he can make the trade. If he didn't believe in his young core he wouldn't make the trade. He was emphatic is has to benefit the Panthers as well. Adam wasn't expected to be the go to guy this year.

Thielen contemplated retirement last offseason. This was his last year. Belichick used to get mad praise for trading someone before they retired or were a free agent and still had value. That is exactly what Morgan did. It was a gift which fell into Morgan's lap.

Everything ive seen or heard gives credit to Morgan for what we got for him other than a handful of malcontents on the Huddle.

In a vacuum I'd prefer to have Thielen but nothing is in a vacuum
