PJ Walker, wins this one

Darnold, Mayfield, Teddy, win this one.

That kid kid that came in for the last preseason game that was good in spring ball this year, maybe wins this one.

If Bryce sucked and was exciting games may be watchable. Like if its 50/50 he does something amazing or awful, that may be fun.

But he sucks and is just such a boring damn player to watch. I'd rather see Chuba run the ball 40 times a game then watch whatever the hell approximation of being a pro athlete that Bryce craps onto the field in 95% of the games he's started in.

Just now, Mr. Scot said:

That was his SECOND worst play.

Worst play was that fourth down throw out of the end zone.

Well, maybe after the game we can debate which of his bad plays was the worst.

but that’s how you know he was awful today.  Because it will be a debate and a lot of plays to discuss.

Just now, CRA said:

Renfrow would have had monster day if Bryce Young could have put balls where they should be.

I do agree that Canales just has him Inserted into ATs role.  Which isn’t how Renfrow really plays

Lol. I don't think Renfrow has any monster days left in him but he definitely could have been impactful.

Yeah, AT will be missed for what he brings to the offense. Still, we would be toting this L, regardless.

I don't blame this on Canales. He doesn't have a QB that play at a high level in the in the NFL. He didn't pick Bryce. He inherited him. You give Canales a top 10 QB and we'd have a legitimate shot at the winning the NFC South

I think this team often appears flat because they realize that they are overmatched at the QB position in almost every game they play. And, if  Bryce starts off poorly they realize  that literally have almost no chance to win.

A year ago I was all the way out on Bryce, then he came back to look VERY good by season's end

This game, he had bad moments but overall had a LOT of help with the team looking bad.

My judgment of this game: Good moments, but overall not good enough. Still just one game, though.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
