All six of Nic Scourten’s pass rush attempts yesterday

Dave Canales was asked why the young guys don't play on defense but do on offense.  He basically said he would like to see the young guys play more, but will leave that up to evero.  Doesn't sound like a head coach

Exactly.

We hired an offensive minded head coach. Not an offense only head coach. If he is too timid to dictate what he wants to his entire staff coming off a season where his defense gave up historic points then he's already got one foot out the door.

Nic. I don't even notice him while watching. Those 6 plays look....he's got the effort!!!

Prince.....Mr I move like sex, brother MOVE faster!!!! Especially the first moves, he's acting like the play is not over within 3 seconds. There's no "setting" up the OT, you will be off the field the next play, exploded my friend.

Still these are rookies and you should never judge them until next season.

This is really bad, disappointing to hear. Evero is terrible, and he’s being enabled by DC.

Booty cheeks. Doesn't look like he has any pass rush plan or any technical moves to defeat blocks. He pretty much just tries to bull rush the blocker then immediately quits if that doesn't work.

So let me guess, after one game we’re ready to move on from Nic. Imagine moving on from Derrick Brown because he wasn’t impressing.

Embarrassing and concerning answer.

Scourton showed some good play strength on that second rep in pushing the RT back.

Also showed good hips weaving around the RB + OT I think it was on a later rep.

Lots of potential there. I hope things slow down for him quickly.

It's the Panthers. Evero was a holdover from the last staff that was assembled by Tepper and I'm sure it was Tepper who told Canales he was staying onboard. Canales probably feels like the guy doesn't even report to him.

Could be part of the reason other coaching candidates wanted nothing to do with us.

He probably doesn’t. Remember this is the same team that had coaches stabbing each other in the back less than two years ago. I can’t imagine any of the other 31 franchises being remotely this toxic and dysfunctional and that’s before we even bring up records and stats.

The Colts might end up there. You have the late Jim Irsay's totally not insane widow running the show from the sidelines wearing a headset with a play sheet literally questioning in game decisions in real time
