Packers game predictions

Sadly I was right about the blowout loss to the Bills but it was worse than I expected especially on defense.

Packers opened as 11.5 favorites and it’s hard not to expect them to cover. I think the defense will play better but will still get demolished by Jordan Love who is playing at a high level after that performance against the Steelers. This is the type of game we have to actually play keep-away by running the ball but not sure if our offensive line with injuries can do that or keep Bryce from getting pressured to consistently move the football on third downs.

I expect us to keep it close in the first half but Packers pull away in the second and easily cover.

If the Panthers can't run and keep running expect the same as last game regsrdless of QB playing. The Packers are in a different teir and it will show again. 30 - 10 woukd be a decent loss, could be a lot more again.

Packers got the #3 rush D and #6 D overall….

no reason to think Bryce can move an offense on them when he can’t do it vs bad defenses….and they got an O that can stress us at all our weak spots on D

beatdown coming.  40ish to 10ish

It will go one of two ways and depends who plays in the game.

Canales gets his head out of his ass and starts Dowdle. Young manages to start. Cade Mays and Damien Lewis play. Running game gets going. Evero comes up with some scheme to slow down the Packers offense. The game is close but the Panthers lose an excruciating one at the end.

They haven’t put together a good game against a good opponent yet so I’m going to wager this will be an epic massacre. 50+ to 10

After what we saw against the Bills I have little hope for option A and fully expect option B.

I don’t have the energy right now. Not finished licking my wounds and complaining.
Preliminary thoughts …
Loss.

The awakening of rolling with RICO is a week late and they will shut our running game down (I watched some video and our receivers are sucking at their blocking assignments for the most part. Which most receivers do).

It will be on Bryce to carry us through the air. Big test for him, good luck

I can’t do scores. We’ll lose the game not sure it will be that close.

With the state of the OL the talent level of the opposing team and the venue it would be a small miracle if we don't turn the ball over let alone sustain drives. We squandered 8 drives against the winless Jets.

    • Another ugly loss incoming.
    • 5 yards a carry is great IMO opinion because we are talking an average of 2nd and 5, which means the defense can't sit solely on the pass or run. I understand 5 is an average and not all carries are going to be that, but he definitely had better runs than Chuba. When we have Chuba running the ball for 1 or 2 yards and getting stuck in 2nd and 8 or 3rd and 6, we have to pass - which as we saw was the nail in the coffin for us with Dalton back there. The only 2 drives in the game where we had a legit chance of scoring (before garbage time) was the drive we scored a FG on and the drive Andy took the inexcusable sack on to cost us points. No coincidence that the RB on the field those drives was Rico (who pretty much picked up 5+ yards every carry outside of that goofy direct snap play). It really needs to be a 2-to-1 ratio of snaps in favor of Rico going forward (unless Chuba gets better). I don't care if we are paying Chuba more. Other teams have had no problem benching the guy being paid more if the other player is doing better - just look at the Falcons and them starting Penix over Cousins like 6 games into his rookie season.
    • Depends on perspective. I do think the talent is great. Whether T-Mac reaches his potential is another story, especially within these current circumstances. Some of the metrics are really good already (like average yards per catch). Even PFF already had him as the 20th or so best WR in the league.
