Kneeling it out

Really bad optics, but I get it.   Zero chance to win with only some stat padding and/or injury as the possible outcomes.  I could see at least pulling the starters and running the ball with the backups instead of kneeling it out.

There wasn’t zero chance, and that’s the problem. Was there a good chance? Certainly not. But you’re teaching your team to give up when they THINK something is UNLIKELY. That’s not Panthers football. That’s not Keep Pounding. It is also an even bigger problem because much of the head coach’s messaging revolves around finishing, how you finish, etc. He just lost his message with that move.

Yes, with probability there's never zero chance, but come on dude, we have sucked all game and were supposed to score 3x in just over 2 minutes with no time outs?  This ain't Disney.

So put in Dalton and run FB dive three times like every other team in the nfl

I would have had zero issues with that, along with the other backups in there too.  Our luck, Moton tears his ACL on a Dalton QB dive.

Ive never seen something that rose to the level of cuckoldry as I did today.  I’m not a Tepper guy, but I’d drag Dave Canales into my office by his ear and verbally abuse him for hours.

That should never under any circumstances happen AT HOME in front of the HOME FANS.

Very near a fireable offense.  Don’t ever ever do that poo again.

The type of play you make when you know the script and stick to it knowing the whole time you were going to have to battle it out next week. Carolina has trash market value. More value for the nfl to have us in a meaningful game next week and Seattle battling it out vs the 9ers.

Doesn’t surprise me one bit that the most beta NFL coach I have ever seen would give up like that.

We had people throwing tantrums about Fox and Rivera who had balls and took us to Super Bowls.  Not perfect but they had balls.

Bryce Young

"I ran out of check down passing plays"

Fify. Dave doesn’t decide who to throw it to while the play is happening except the rare screen or play that is obviously designed to go that way from the start, and those were successful. The ones where Bryce “went through his reads” and settled on the check down were the failures.

    • I do think think anyone is actively rooting against him. Okay, maybe some. But Bryce seems like a really good dude. I don't see you anyone could view the person negatively. But this ain't about that. This is about whether or not we truly think we can compete for SBs with Bryce Young at QB. I don't. Especially if you give him a legit starting QB contract.
    • Bryce had a good playoff game but Taylor Heinicke has had a good playoff game too.  He's improved but calling him the best deep ball thrower in the league is just laughable.
    • You are overgeneralizing talking about every Panther WR that didn't make it. Calling the guy an idiot is lazy and assuming. And I said it wasn't worth bringing up real points because people like you would be lazy and generalize like a scorned woman. Thanks for not disappointing.  He and Coker came into the league the same year. Who was producing in the Seattle game when we passed for 54yds? That's not excuses, but facts. In the playoff game, he smoked a corner off the line of scrimmage just like the Atlanta game and Bryce didn't go to him. I don't consider it an excuse if the QB doesn't look your way or limits your opportunities. Like I said earlier, TMac and Coker are better at making chicken salad out of chicken shite. Don't act like you haven't seen the passes thrown that require extreme contortion or athleticism like jumping five feet in the air to catch. Also, they said in the video he could stand to get closer with Bryce. TMac and Coker have better relationships on and off the field with Bryce. That matters, anyone who has played sports knows that. I said he needs to hear Cam and that means strengthening the relationship with the QB your organization has now.
