I could get behind this, but then you have to fill that room.  Where do we get talent to improve?  I do not see a lot in free agency--we'd need to trade. I am not sure we'd upgrade much.  This is why, in my view, that you do not get some 40-year old, "Mediocre-in-his-prime" clip board holder as backup.  I want a developmental backup qb.  They say you are going to lose if you have to use your backup--make the experience count then.

I want Mateer in the third or so.  He had a bad year (compared to Washington) but he has the skills our offense could use.  I would also like to see us develop Klubnik.  Lotta people would scoff at this--I say let them scoff. I am sold that he could become at the very least a solid NFL reserve.

I would like to add that I hope Bryce succeeds and proves us wrong, but you earn respect.   He has not done that for me at this time.  I like him and want him to be successful.

I expect us to pick up the option. It's dumb but we're dumb. It would almost be a relief just that we didn't give him a bjg extension which would be the pinnacle of dumb.
