I d like to draft that Indiana C late hes got plenty of experience and a QB don't win a Hiesmen and a National Championship without a solid C

You are the 3rd person I've heard talk about Coogan. I looked him up and in addition to your case, he is apparently a great leader, locker room guy, and majors in the best ability which is availability! They are talking about solid depth piece in the draft, but Jeff Saturday had a horrible draft grade and played 10+ years.

I guess some fans have already forgotten the Paradis/Elflein days.

Center should remain a top priority.

weirdly I agree with both of you. Which is why I wouldn't mind a center being drafted early this year. Seems like it fills both needs

Icky going down really fowled things up.  Getting a suitable LT and OC early is a tall task.  And if we pull that off we have to ignore other severe needs.

We’re still two really good drafts away (at least) from retooling this roster, to be a year in, year out contender for our division.  Draft the LOT and C this year if the stars align and we don’t reach.  Starting two rookies on the OL will be ugly this upcoming season but it has to be done to balance out the huge misallocation of cap to the OL.  We’ll just have to fill in the other needs with cap friendly FA’s while we rebuild longer term through the draft.

We'll see how Morgan navigates it. For all the resources we tied up in two OG's in free agency I would argue Center had been our biggest problem going back to 2020. We need quality depth there. The problem now is Morgan's panic signings in Lewis and Hunt paired with the now very murky future of Icky make this even trickier.

Ya know. It sure would have been nice to draft a future Center a few years ago instead of an already injured RB.

I try to listen to you. I try to see if you offer any true perspective,  that I miss.

The signings of Hunt and Lewis were not of panic.   They were well calculated.

Now it's obvious you didn't care for the signings, although that's not how you offer up your perspective. You throw poo against the wall.

Makes trying to listen to anything else you post, a waste of time.

I'll be direct and to the point. If you can't handle difference of opinion without making it personal because I am not being a sycophant to your standards then do not quote me. We can disagree without this nonsense.

As far as the matter at hand. I think Lewis and Hunt are good at what they do. I like them. I wanted us to address the OL. I wanted to do it largely via the draft though. We went the instant results path and now we have the highest paid OL in the league and the results are the same as the Texans who gave up the same number of sacks as us (37) but the difference is they are 25 out of 32 in salary cap dedicated to the OL while we are #1. And they have a more balanced roster to show for it. Now we are at a crossroads where we are basically cornered into investing even more resources into the OL for what was ultimately the 27th passing offense. This is not good. If you're arguing with me on that point then we have nothing further to discuss. Goodnight.
