I think the last time I watched the Pro Bowl was that year Sean Taylor blew up that poor punter. LOL

I was at that game and remember it vividly and it was a great game (19 years ago). I was super stoked to see Smitty there. Fast forward to the BS that is today's iteration of the Pro Bowl, I went to the flag football version at Allegiant Stadium and it was so bad that I didn't take any photos and I left early. The only good thing about football in Las Vegas is that I got to see Julius Peppers get into the HOF live at the NFL Awards show. This is my contribution to this thread because I know the Pro bowl sucks and there's nothing else I can say to make it better.

NFL and NBA both should ditch the game and just keep it to skills challenges. Clip farming for the social media era.

a small niche of people repeatedly saying this is why the nfl thought they could get away with the transition

nobody cares about watching guys throw balls in buckets in NFLPA OFFICIALLY LICENSED MATERIAL

it’s not the nba-it’s not a player driven sport. the whole reason the pro bowl worked is because fans got to see guys clad in their team’s helmets representing their team among the best in the league while hoping that they stood out at that echelon. You wanted to see a Panther do well when everyone else was hoping for the same.

go back to that, go back to an actual game, or just abolish the entire thing. Nobody wants to see an event where primadonnas build their brand a little more, people who like that kind of thing have a sports league of their own they can go enjoy.

The pro bowl should be brought back, it should be in Honolulu with proper marketing and eyes on it, it should be the nfl subsidizing a week long vacation for guys with their families-with that the one big change to make is to get rid of the fan voting. Have each send a collection of five or six guys they deemed their best and if the rosters get a little wonky personnel-wise, that’s okay. That’s part of the fun.

short of that, the only other thing I could recommend is having a similar set-up-no fan voting, teams selecting their best players, and sending them to compete against the chosen players from 31 other teams in real Olympic level sporting completions to see who comes out on top.

seeing the panthers delegates beat the disgusting saints delegates up for the Gold in the rowing competition or the 4x100 relay would actually feed into the competitive nature of fans and give them something to root for.

you could even have under armour sell the logo cladded up team gear that the pros wear in these games for money, this stuff basically writes itself if the nfl wasn’t trying to use this event help sell the idea that no defense and lots of passing is a GOOD THING and you LOVE THIS and THE GAMES SHOULD BE MORE LIKE THIS.

There was a Pro Bowl?

I would assume it was likely the last Pro Bowl to ever be played.   Think the move off Sunday was strategic to kill what little ratings it would have gotten and getting down to folks like Justin Fields will be the final nail.
