Drake has a bright future, but this was way too much for him tonight.

Thought it was a pretty easy call on who would win this game.

After I saw Seattle come into BOA, and we saw SF and LA Rams, I had them favored.

so great def minds cant win a super bowl? only O coaches win? thats dead as can be.

sam >>>>>> BY. happy that sam got this one. he grew so much, we gave up on him way too early. more pressure than ever tonight and he didnt fold, hes a gamer. he isnt a top 5 guy but hes damn fine QB. still not a 4th quarter comeback tonight but fug that looser type stat.

we got the wrong guy out of seattle (Fitt) thats for sure cause their GM built 2 winners now.

We could have built a good team with Fitt. Just do the opposite of whatever he wanted to do.

Ummm 90% cover 2/3 isn't what I'd call a great defensive mind....

Their offensive line got owned tonight. That made all the difference.

Seattle's defense owned a lot of offensive lines.  Maybe not to that extent, but they are a great defense.  And Maye got rattled.

But the biggest difference was that Seattle could run the ball, which took a little pressure off Darnold.  New England couldn't run it a lick.

    • I have considered free agency.  LT?  Either not good enough or too expensive.  Besides, this is a good OT draft.  (I would rather have a free agent, mind you, but the Panthers' reality suggests we can't do it without neglecting other positions).  What LTs are available in free agency, and what do you expect to pay?  Any Ickey-level OT is going to cost over $20m.   How much do we already have invested in our OL?  I get your point, but I do not think you can spend over $100m per on your OL. We have 2 guards and a right T who pull in about $75m per season.  We don't have a center yet.  Teams just don't let good LTs hit free agency, and when one does on rare occasion, he is expensive.  If you want a third of the Panther cap going to 5 Offensive Linemen, free agency is the way to go.  We still need S, ILB, Edge, WR, etc. I think we'd need more than Nijman--and I would understand if we went free agent for a T--but that is putting a TON of your cap at OL--so considering our situation, I do not see that option as preferable.  You may disagree. If I was not talking LT on our line and thinking about the cap, I would agree 100%.
    • Will be interesting to see how they come out tonight. The Boston game seemed to open the flood gates of media attention. And it’s not just that they’re playing well, in some instances they are getting compared with all time greats. This is still a young team, and it would be easy for an immature team to lose some focus, buy into their own hype, and think they can coast bit. The Heat are a middle of the road team without their leading scorer. There is no big dragon to slay, no big statement to make. I think we’ll learn a lot tonight: are they young but mature, or do they still have a ways to go mentally?
    • Panthers North for the win. Good luck to him. Great guy, hated to see him leave here, but he's about to work with the best QB he's ever worked with (at least on a regular basis).
