I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. Nobody knew this kid until the combine and now all of a sudden he's the best TE that ever existed.

Doesn't feel like a Morgan pick (draft 2 on anyway).  Tet was a highly productive college receiver of course

He's just the pick of the litter in a weird draft that lacks top talent competition..... he's like the last oatmeal cookie among sugar and peanut butter cookies.... Same goes for the RB group and the QB only has one true prize too.

I cannot see Morgan taking wr 3 drafts in a row. I would be livid if he did.

its where my money is currently, not that I agree....I think OT, DL, and even edge should be on the top. On many of legit boards, there are 10 WRs ranked in the top 50....its smart if you're some BPA truther. One of the guys ranked in the top ten could fall to the Panthers and then.......

Have to stop making everything about BY. They will and have been bringing in players to improve the TEAM, not just Bryce Young. Which is something they should have done BEFORE bringing in a rookie QB. Even Metchie is a generally good pickup at a position of need. He just happens to have played with BY in college. And that doesn't hurt his chances or the team's. Morgan just addressed the biggest areas of need on the team via free agency so they won't be reaching for a position of need in the draft. He's legit picking the best player available for the TEAM in the draft.

The o-line was in shambles in 2023. He addressed it in 2024. The d-line was in shambles in 2024. He addressed it in 2025. The pass rush and linebackers were in shambles in 2025. He's addressed it in 2026. Unfortunately good young WRs don't hit the FA market, so can't just throw money at them. You have to draft them. I wonder what some would be saying if they'd spent the amount of cap on the offense that they spent on the defense in 2025 and 2026 - and then used both first round draft picks on defense. Would that have been better in your eyes? No. You would be complaining that the defense is too young to compete and more vets weren't brought in because they're trying to prop up BY.

This team should be talented enough now to make some noise in the South. If BY is actually holding them back, then QB will be addressed in 2027. They benched him 2 games into their tenure and you think they're tied to his success. No. That doesn't compute. They're tied to the team's success. BY could throw for 5000 yards and if they're 4 - 13, head's will roll.

TLDR: Their decisions aren't driven by making BY look good. They're trying to improve the team and win games. Period.

Brother he's that important, Id say more than other QBs on teams. Coaching, defense, ST, and X&Os, panthers don't have enough. BY was traded for and the 1st overall pick, he's suppose to carry a NFL team and he needs too. Just in three years....I don't judge the rookie year for anyone(*unless cut or MVP/all-pro), second he ranked around 29th for the season, third he improved to 26th+/-. He doesn't need even be what 1st overall blue chip are, just average around 220 with 2 TDs and limit the TOs, that's it and he struggles to reach that outside a couple games of getting other coaches fired and then you check out his 8 game span and its not good enough.

I will give him props about being one of the toughest mofos on the team. Even with him sucking hard for 3.73 quarters, he can forget allllllllll that and lead the men to victory FG or TD. He could had a giant sook about the benching, but he came back a different player. He also has some room to bitach about the overall talent panthers have brought in. The best was a 82 year old UDFA that his team didn't care to resign, with other questionable adds to WR and TE....... Also to mention CHubba scares no defense or DC. Plus I would even toss the coaching staff some shade too, Frank all-stars and this current group that FINALLY added a OC with over 1 year of play calling.

Keep pounding!!!

It may end up being that Sadiq is the best player available and also coincides with a position of need.

But I don't believe any of these rumors anymore. last year everyone and their mom had us definitely drafting Jalon Walker

I mean it sure sounded post-draft like that’s the direction they would’ve gone if McMillan was off the board
