So is Legette getting traded?

Typically we keep 6 WRs and then activate 5 on game day. Rarely do we go 7 unless somebody is hurt. Right now this is what we got:

1. McMillan (Not going anywhere)

2. Coker (Not going anywhere)

3. Brazzell (Rookie Season-Not going anywhere)

Now the rest:

4. Legette (Struggling, still on rookie deal)

5. Horn (Entering 2nd season)

6. Tremayne (Praised run blocker and special teamer)

7. Metchie (New arrival, history with Bryce- also a returner)

8. Moore (long history with Dave Canales)

The room is crowded, and that’s a good problem.

Horn and Metchie are in danger. Moore is purely a special teams contributor and not going anywhere. Legette is on notice this season.

Is Metchie an upgrade on Etienne for PR and KR duty?

Not that I know of. Thats the only hope he and Horn have of finding a spot on the roster going forward. But Brazzel isn't guaranteed a spot either. He's got to put in the work.

If someone offers a late round pick swap, he's gone. He's reached this status on this roster.

No.  H shouldn't be traded.  He slumped.  He needs an off season on get right. He is still on his rookie contract, there is no reason to dump him yet.  Give him some competition this season and let him fight for the spot.  Things will sort themselves out.

Brazzel is making the team. No question. The potential is too good.

The only way I think he's traded is if we draft another receiver, and we all know that the situationally receiver-averse Huddlers don't want us drafting any more receivers.

Doubt it, but this is put up or shut up time for him.  Id say he's got one final opportunity before we send him packing, and some team with an actual professional qb picks him up and he shines.

This draft falls off hard at receiver. No time better than right now to let him go.

No reason to at the moment, let him play out this season and go from there. 

Brazzell hasn't touched the field yet, the only thing known about him for now is he's fast.

Only see it if we get something like we did for Mingo.  He’s not worth trading for a late pick, still could break out.  Reality is he has unique size and strength , 3rd year is make or break

Definitely gives us a lot of options at who we keep at WR. Gonna be an interesting camp battle for WRs 5 and 6 (I'm assuming XL is safe if he isn't traded).

Tremayne, Metchie, and Moore are all 1 year deals. So it isn't the worst thing in the world if we have to cut any of them. Hopefully we keep Tremayne and let Metchie and Horn battle it our for the last receiver spot.
