Salary Cap Simulator... have fun.

I noticed on Sportrac that TD will be getting $10MM either next year or 2015. CJ goes up to $16MM, Deangelo and Stewart will account for roughly $13MM combined I think, and Smitty will be at something like $10MM too. I hope we can some how get hot and run the table for a SB victory this year, because we are going to lose some valuable pieces soon like Hardy and have to cut or restructure a ton of people. Oh yeah and Cam will go from like $5MM to at least $15MM I'm assuming.

For the first time in 5 years, I refuse to look at stuff like that before the end of the season.  Truth is, the Panthers team will certainly look different next year due to bad contracts, etc.  And Hurney certainly didn't leave the team in great shape over the next 2 years.

But the good news is, who cares right now?!  We are finally in a position where this year matters, and we can concern ourselves with this other stuff after the year.

I would much rather be in a position to make a playoff run and have a salary cap mess to deal with again in the offseason than to have no chance at the playoffs and still have the mess.

Hats off to Gettleman- he has to be considered for GM of the Year.  This year has been so crazy & awesome, and I'm hoping there are a lot more good memories before it's over.

    • You would hope so. I’m confused why the sports world seems split on Bryce when he’s obviously not working out.
    • So let’s do the reverse? Make everyone agree everything he does is a disaster? I also think the whole “gaslighting” is on the eye of the beholder. It went from he can’t avoid one single sack countered with he actually did that well Sunday (with data backing it) to a little breakdown of why he is so bad. People are going to have different opinions. I’m also not going to pretend this wasn’t happening Day one with this little QB.
    • All this great stuff he has done, how often does he do it?  I have it at three or four games out of 14 where he was very good and then you get a drive here or a series there where there are some good things. Here is the gaslight part: everyone has put him on a curve with his first year the baseline, neglecting to understand how bad he was then. Even if he comes back twice as good, where does that really leave him? 25th ranked or thereabouts.     He had so far to go, and still does, it is a Major ‘settle’ to accept his play as worthy of giving him our future.  You want to settle when the Bucs have Mayfield, and the Saints have overtaken us at QB? We will be third in the division at QB. That is good enough for y’all?
