Rivera reassigns special teams coach Rodgers, promotes DeHaven

So once Rivera shows he willing to make the tough call and change coaches just like he did before. So if he keeps Shula maybe it's because Shula is doing exactly what he wants him to do and Rivera thinks he is doing a good job.

Carry on though, Shula is an easy target and doesn't appear to be going anywhere at this juncture it seems.

He was good back in the 80s and 90s but hasn't stuck anywhere more than a couple of years after being fired for the Music City Miracle?

Did you read the post?

In 2012 during DeHaven's last season with Buffalo, the Bills led the league with a 17.1-yard punt return average, and were fourth with a 27-yard kick return average. Both marks were franchise records.

Shula makes himself a easy target if Ron let's this offense keep deteriorating then he will be the next easy target.. Belicheat and Carroll are both great defensive strategist that both figured out that they need good offensive minds to counter balance their teams..

I have pretty much resorted to this!

As easy as it is to "fire Shula", there is no one out there that's an obvious upgrade! We can only hope to see some growth and improvement over the entire coaching staff

    • After last season, it was the same question. And the answer most people came to was "If he doesn't make the playoffs, he's gone." He made the playoffs. No matter how it was done, we made it to the playoffs. He's safe. He's going to have a chance to keep working this out, even if next season isn't a playoff one.  I think we'll do better next year than we did this season. There's something being built here.
    • The NBA is a very fickle league. Kon is one of the hottest rookies in years and beyond just his play on the court he is a very steady competitor and that translates to the rest of the team. That has been a glaring absence with the culture of this franchise through the bulk of the LaMelo Ball years that's just being completely blunt and realistic. The enigma of LaMelo Ball is he is entering year 6 and still either red hot or ice cold. We need him to find that sweet spot. Logic dictates the Hornets will want to see this core again next year. But the clock is beyond ticking at this point. It's put up or shut up. Especially considering what the Thunder managed to do recently. I'm hopeful they can keep these wins rolling in and get some much needed playoff experience under their belts which will help substantially.
    • I think as long as the Panthers are competitive with Canales they should keep him. Pepper needs to repair his/the teams image as a place prized free agents aren't hesitant to consider. Just dont do any crazy poo for a few years.
