Each week I provide for you a few highlights of what opposing fans are saying. 

This week, the Colts, from their official message board..

This game has that SF 49ers feel to it when we beat Kapernick & Co. 

A top defense with a suspect offense. If the good Colts show up, we win this easily. Bad Colts show..... Pagano could be looking for a new job sooner than later

On offense: RUN THE BALL AND SCREEN PASSES.  Get the ball out of Lucks' hands quick and to the edges away from that DLine and Kuechly.

 

On defense: PRESSURE AND CONTAIN CAM. He doesn't have the weapons to go downfield, so run-blitz like crazy.  If he gets rushed and frustrated, he won't play well.  Single high safety shadowing Olsen should be enough to stop their passing game.

 

X-factor - TOLBERT.  That man is scary, and if they get him going, it will be a long night for our D.  He is like a moving wall when he is a blocker, and he can run and catch...

 

Overall, the Colts fans seem like a pleasant,  knowledgeable bunch that is hard not to like. Will be a nice change of pace from hosting Philly fans a week ago.

Or they get to the edge away from Luke, but uh oh, maybe they haven't heard of Thomas Davis.

Another fan base thinking outdated ways are how you stop Cam....

pressure Cam and he will falter? Doesn't seem like any opponent has a clue how crazy good Cam has been the last couple seasons under pressure.  It ain't 2012.   Last two seasons Cam has been one of the best in the NFL when pressured. 

As far as running at us.  The Gore style RBs are the ones we always seem to contain.  It is the speeder RBs we tend to bottle up and allow the one or two big runs that always throw are defensive efforts out of whack

The Colts fan base doesn't know much of anything about our team. Hell I wasn't even expecting Cam to play like he has this season, and I follow this team on a daily basis even in the off-season. Colts fans certainly don't know that Cam is playing at an elite level, and that our defense now has the best MLB, DT, and CB in the NFL. They just know Luke is really good, so they probably want the offense to run to the outside to avoid him. Ask the Eagles coaching staff how that dumb ass idea worked.

It seems one of them watched Tolbert's great run on Sportscenter, and so now he's worried about him. Trust me Tolbert is the least of their worries. That interception machine Luck is going to give us an early Christmas. The Colts are not built to ground and pound with their running game against a nasty physical defense. The Colts are a weak high flying passing team that needs to own the air to win. They'll lose in the trenches against us on both sides of the ball, and that will make Luck look very unlucky.

      No saying he mostly sucks is saying that he doesn’t suck the minority of the time.   Like if he took 17 tests and had a couple of really good showings and a handful of pretty good scores sprinkled in among the typical sub par results.   Like a golfer who went out and shot an 89.  There will be some real nice shots sprinkled in there but at the end of the day it is still 89.

      It's worth mentioning... Game 1: Oct 11 in Raleigh. 4-3 OT win with a complete starting lineup. Game 2: Dec 13 in Philly. 4-3 SO win without Jaccob Slavin. Game 3: Dec 14 in Raleigh. 3-2 SO win with a complete starting lineup. Game 4: Apr 13 in Philly. 3-2 SO loss with the AHL roster.  Those early season games were no indication of the Canes team that finished the season. Miller and Ehlers were still trying to figure things out, Nikishin was still a work in progress and the Stankoven line was just another line. Make no mistake, the Canes team Philly will see is nothing close to what they saw at any point in the season. If the top line starts producing, Freddie stays hot and the blue line does what it does, this could be a sweep as well.
