Oher and Remmers: zero pressures allowed playoffs

Per Pro Football Focus. Big reason why we are putting up explosive numbers in the last two games. Cam having all day to throw allowing the wideouts to seperate. They will be tested Sunday. Denver has two of the best edge rushers in the game. Put the icing on the cake boys and top off an excellent season for the oline

The only chance I see Denver having is with Miller and Ware going off. I imagine Shula and Rivera know this and will game plan accordingly.

So if Oher and Remmers just play a decent game, the Panthers should capture their first Lombardi. No pressure boys.

Look for Stewart to have a big game as well.

If they send them every play, the read option will kill them on the perimeters. Screen passes will be a viable option too, although we all know how great the Panthers are at screen passes.

They are many ways to negate strong edge rushers. When you can pass out of the read option like this team, it does a lot to slow down that edge rush.

Not saying that Ware and Miller won't have any impact at all, i just think that our offense allows for a pretty good counter punch.

To be fair, Remmers had a couple of poor (even if only relative to the strong overall performance) showing slate in the year. With Williams having shown some promise it was easy to see how a switch could at least be attempted if he didn't turn it around.

Safe to say, however, that it's been turned around. Wonder if Remmers was dealing with a nagging injury or something during that time.

He got utterly embarrassed by rookie Vic Beasley. I wasn't someone calling for him to be benched, but he had a dreadful game.

Based on the fact that the Patriot's center was tipping off the snap I'm not as concerned. Also as much as they base their attack on getting off the snap quickly I think Cam gets them on at least 2 encroachment calls early with his cadence. That gets them on their heels and slows them down.

I love what Remmers is for our team, but that said, I think Daryl Williams is the much more stable and long term answer at RT, Remmers is our long term answer at swing-lineman.  Think about how much more dominant we become if/when we have a guy capable of being a stable every down lineman who can play all 5 positions at a starters capability.

    • Why don't we just say they can shove the late round draft picks up their ass? If they want a player they will be starting at WR in Week 1, I want a MLB in return that we can start Week 1. Starter for a Starter Not Starter for a draft pick we'll be debating whether or not they should make the final 53 man roster in 2026.
    • Why?   No. This isn't a situation of a player we want to trade because we have no use for them.  He's our starting slot WR, our leader of the young WR room, Bryce's safety option the last 2 years who he has good chemistry with. If the Vikings didn't run into WR trouble, we'd never have been even considering trading him, so why in the world should we give him up for fair market value in a vacuum for Thielen and disregard what losing him off our roster will do for us this year? A 5th round pick in 2026 is a negligible draft pick, especially with this season being so make or break for Bryce and Canales.
    • The Vikings acquiring all these late round picks has me feeling like we're about to see another CMC situation play out here. Trade a player we really like for the equivalent of what we want for them on the draft pick chart, but because of a bunch of late round picks instead of the one pick value we actually want. Which will do the same thing in the end, nothing, because 6th and 7th round picks rarely work out to begin with, or we're just going to use them to move up 10 picks in the 3rd or 4th round to take another DJ Johnson
