if the team is destined to implode and rebuild anyway, I'd like to give it a shot as opposed to bringing in an outside guy creating even more rifts than we already had.  that seems to me the fast route to an implosion and rebuild...

Or just maybe u get rid of him too so the new GM and head coach can build that relationship and vision for the team from the start like its normally done.

do we want to do that to the core and Cam?

 

I feel a rebuild also includes QB if no one in the building as far as decision making has any ties to Cam Newton. 

 

We have a decent team.. might be a few pieces away.  I think we should try and see what we can do with what we have first. if no luck, then I agree.. purge

I guess the heads of pro scouting, college scouting, and cap management are getting short term promotions for now.  Looking at what the judge did not do (the restraining order), I'm not sure the NFL will find much of a reason to intercede.  They've done less for more serious offenses.

The Panthers will do something.  I'm sure of it. 

It's up to these guys who are making 18 their last year to step up and set the tone here.  We will need them to steady the ship.  Now if suddenly those three decide to go ahead and retire...then that's when we should be ready for a top 3 pick in 2019...

Ron would draft a 1st round safety to sit on the bench 2 years to “learn” from Mike Adams.

I don't understand why this would take many weeks to conclude.  A good investigator could probably pull it off by the end of this week and cover all the bases that need covering.  NFL drags its damn feet on poo like this.

As bad as our drafts have been I don’t think this is a bad thing maybe we actually find a few gems after round 1

The investigation will cover more than just this incident.  With what has gone down in the FO in the past everyone will be looked at, not just Hurney and JR.  They will interview everyone linked to both JR and Hurney as well as Beane and anyone else around during JR's tenure.  This will not end soon.
