Bill Voth On Whether Alex Armah Will Make Roster

Well...this definitely is ideal.

On a recent Panthers podcast, Bill Voth speaks: “I don’t think it’s a matter of will he make the roster. I think it’s a matter of how involved he’ll be getting touches.”

This is a good thing. Alex Armah deserves more touches.

@Jeremy Igo should most certainly excited.

I'm all for getting Armah in the game more...more touches though?  I mean, he's still incredibly raw so might slow my roll a bit there.

He had what, one nice little dump down catch and run last year?  Granted he was on the field a total of like 8 times.

He will continue to be raw until he gets opportunities to break himself in.

Damn this baseball glove could be the best ive ever owned but damn its not broken in yet! Such a shame. Id love to use it.

I'm all for Armah getting touches...but touches over McCaffrey, CJ, Olsen, Moore, Smith, Wright, Funch, Cam's runs, etc.? No poo he'll get better with PT, but I'd also like him to actually play more than 5 snaps in a game before he's getting plays called for him.  The guy was a D-Eleven project pick who wasn't projected to get drafted so excuse me for side-eyeing his potential immediate usage, grown man saying herp derp on an online message board.

    • I agree but he honestly has gotten better about this. Used to be he’d do it like 4-5 times a game, now it’s like 2-3. Overall I’m incredibly happy with his game, his D has been solid and when he is playing his role he’s a solid scorer and one of the few guys who can consistently finish at the rim and provide that threat. Plus he’s electric and LaMelo loves him. Going into the season I was sure he would just be a stop gap here but now I’m reconsidering and could see him continue to be a “core” piece here. Obviously not on the level of the other starters but he is an important cog for this team. We felt his missed presence during his and Moose’s suspensions.
    • Philly will be a bigger challenge than the Knicks were IMO. George and Embiid are back, not sure about Maxey but Embiid alone is a nightmare matchup for us and Moose. We’ve never really done well against him. Celtics added Tatum but honestly not sure they’re all that much better with him right now than they were when we whooped them a few weeks ago. We should be able to at the very least split these 2, hopefully take both.
