i'd be really worried if one of the giants fans that called cam a bitch or was chanting "panthers suck" two weeks ago stumbled upon this forum and saw people criticizing the coaching staff

I thought Cam, Turner and Rivera, made bad  decisions in the last series of the final drive.  

not getting that first down, or making it a priority was an egregiously stupid  mistake by a professional team  and someone needs to answer for it  it needs to never happen again.

Stupid situational football is stupid situational football and it is not the first time  and they were all three complicit in it and the buck stops at the Head Coach to ensure the right probability is the focus  

Newton is a 7 year, 100 million  dollar Qb.   Turner has been in the league for decades  Rivera the same  all three handled that final  drive poorly   A High School coach would have known the right thing to do in that situation 

That got me called a racist in the game day thread and that pissed me off.  I don’t care what color the QB or the coaches are.  I would have said the same thing.  

This  forum needs to stop hauling out the race card where Cam is concerned   Doing his best on the series or Turner doing his best on the series isn’t the issue  the issue is for that situation, the focus was on the wrong approach  period and that too, is not the first time.  

Eight  years of Rivera I believe is enough.

This year’s team feels like the old saying ‘you can put lipstick on a pig but it’s still a pig’ and it makes me sad. Will i continue to support them with time and money, of course, but after this listless loss this weekend, I am a bit more realistic about them

Sadly, everything is on blast here. It got this way back in 2009 and the next year was unbearable. I stepped away for a couple of years because, in the end, I realized that it was like going back again and again to a sports bar that had been taken over by drunken a$$holes. I didn't find a better place to go, but it was nice to have the noise go away for a while.

I came back a couple of seasons ago and things were better on The Huddle. Not sure what had happened, but a few of the sh!tposters had been shown the door I guess. Some of the best posters had come back out of hiding and a bunch of new folks had joined, many with some really great things to say.

But here of lates, like I said, everything is on blast. There's just a nasty tone about the posters, the players, ownership, the team, the fandom. Politics has bled all over the place and the vicious tone of modern politics has really carried over. I've seen people be called Nazis, racists, cucks and worse for a myriad of reasons or for no reason at all. It's not to the "meet me somewhere so we can fight" level it was a few years back, but danged if it isn't close.

Maybe, in the end, it's just because we're all just miserable here and we're taking it out on each other, making ourselves and those around us even more miserable like some kind of Greyhound Bus ride to hell with the entire dysfunctional family along. Heck, we're miserable here after wins, much less losses... how effed up is that???

We're all fans of the same team here, we should be able to get along. We should be able to have conversations about the team, both positive and negative reviews, without someone jumping down our throats.

I agree that sometimes people go too far in their criticism (myself included) of the team and coaching staff but it gets a little tiring when you see the same mistakes being made over and over by our coaching staff. People have different ways of venting.

imo the best thing to do is go make good posts and ignore the bad ones.
