Opinions: if Rivera goes, so does Turner

So if Rivera gets the boot this off season, chances are that Turner would go also.....or not?He surely has made Cam into a better QB in many ways. Some great playcalling and some not so great.

A new coach would probably want to pick his own staff. So it is probably the case he is gone. Who do you want as a new OC in this offense heavy league?

Rivera staying the national media is going to force him to play Samuel and for the first time non injury changes are coming but they'll probably say his leg hand something's not right with Fun instead of making him face the music. We're running the table  Super Ooowwll is that it?

I think Norv was done as a coach and had settled in for retirement.  He came here because of his friendship with RR .  Once Ron gets the ax I would bet my bank account Norv is gone regardless of whether or not he is offered a coordinator job.  One thing that might change that opinion would be if NT was offered the head coaching gig.  He might go for that.

Scott Turner for HC.

Problem solved.

NO.

He has done well, compared to Shula, that's not saying much.

Still, I'm just about done with this offense. While I'd like an offensive orientated coach, I want a new, fresh offensive mind and look. One with much faster pace than Norv like Payton or Reid.

Not to mention I am tired of all the carry overs the Panthers do and promoting within type things. Hire guys who know what they're doing and trust their judgment in the coaches and personnel they surround themselves with. This includes a new GMs opinion on players or coaching.

    • He really impressed last night. Accurate. Lightning release and throws a ball that 100% passes the eye test. He drastically upped his draft stock showing out like he did on the biggest stage in college football.
    • I am not at all up for under 6' myself. That list is small and unimpressive, I really can't think of anyone but Wilson in that category recently I would call good that I can think of. Murray could have made it work but he is incredibly dense IMO. That's just bad odds. Over 6'? Shouldn't be an issue by itself.  100% on the second part. That's what matters first and would dictate an exception.
    • I’m pretty sure he isn’t referring to outliers. Lamar is the most athletic QB in history, Top 1% athleticism. I get his point, about the ideal QB being 6’3 or taller.  Kind of funny how billion dollar QB needy organizations refuse to look at QB’s they just don’t like. Org’s rather flounder than be flexible. Lamar, Shedur….etc  Both QB’s we could make the argument we could have had.  Shedur would have been a distraction to finally see if Bryce was worth the draft spot (and Bryce emphatically isn’t) but we would have a low capital investment for 2026. Allowing us to invest resources in the defense (Sonny Styles etc..)
