Hell, almost every game (other than Dallas), we had some kind of 3rd down and 8+ lapse. Sometimes, 3rd and 15+. 

It’s cost us.

Our pass rush isn't very good, our DBs both play best in press coverage yet we insist on playing them off, and we don't have any safeties who excel in over the top coverage. It's a perfect recipe for sucking ass on 3rd and long.

  It’s gotten so bad(giving away inside leverage with no help in middle) that rush doesn’t even matter. And I’m truly wondering if our Safeties are just jumping other routes, blowing their assignments or it is really that poor a concept? We have always played off a frustrating amount. But at least it was usually keeping WRs in front and make a team drive. Now we just make the CB useless. Any decent WR is open at any point after the snap. Slant=1st down. Post = Touchdown. 

  I’m pushing 50. But I think even I could get separation on that scheme.
