Olsen Debating Retiring

I love Greg Olsen, but I honestly hope he retires. Big men rarely recover from recurring foot injuries. That's just a ton of stress on some very small bones and connecting tissues. Freeing up that cap space could be key for us and Ian Thomas looks ready to go. Olsen is awesome on the mic and I think he'll make a great commentator/analyst. It may be time for him to start looking at life after football. He's certainly not the only current player looking to take this route and that door may not stay open permenantly.

It's been fun, Greg. You're a Panthers legend. Go become a legend on the mic now.

It sounds as if Fox is the only one really making a play for him. If he retires he loses his 3.4 million plus has to pay back some of his 11 million in signing bonus. I doubt they pay even 3.4 million for a season and honestly it will be there when he retires in 2 years. It isn't a once in a lifetime opportunity that goes away

    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
    • Nah we just talking about giving a platform and normalizing predators (who both beat women) opinions and celebrating it if it fits your narrative.  If that's fun I'm fine being a miserable fug by not supporting P.O.S like that. N b4 you call me a libtard or some other dumb ish know I'm an Anarchist/Libertarian and believe both these dudes should get a complete ass whooping (at min) or something worse for what they have done to women in this world.
